Destiny 2 Season of Opulence — Menagerie
The Season of Opulence will feature a six-player matchmade mode for Annual Pass players called Menagerie, and while we don’t know much about what it will involve just yet, the trailer mentions that it will feature choosable rewards. This is somewhat unusual for Destiny 2, as most events grant either fixed equipment or random drops. Players will assemble and upgrade a Chalice of Opulence which will allow them to choose more powerful rewards upon completing the event. Equipment from the Menagerie seems to be themed around gold and jewels — it’s the Season of Opulence, after all.
Destiny 2 Season of Opulence — Pinnacle Weapons
Pinnacle weapons are some of the most difficult pieces of equipment to obtain in Destiny 2. They require dedication to Strikes, Crucible, and Gambit in a given season to unlock, and their elusiveness is usually matched by their power. Season of Opulence in Destiny 2 will bring three new such weapons: the Revoker sniper rifle, the Wendigo GL3 Grenade Launcher, and the Hush bow. Whether these newcomers will be as popular or powerful as some past pinnacle weapons remains to be seen.
Destiny 2 Season of Opulence — Solstice of Heroes
Just like season 6’s spring-themed Revelry, Destiny season 7 will include a seasonal event based on summer celebrations called the Solstice of Heroes. This free event will see guardians collecting Elemental Orbs by choosing weapons that align with the daily element, then using those Orbs to gain an Empowerment buff. It’s unclear how similar the event will be to last year’s, but given that the 2018 iteration provided level 400 armor, it seems likely that things will change this time around.

The Destiny 2 Ascendant Challenge: May 27, 2019
This Ascendant Challenge is found in the Spine of Keres section of the map. Head towards the Oracle by leaving the initial spawn location and hanging a left at the massive door that leads to the Blind Well. Follow the cliff pathway all the way around until you reach a bridge. This leads to the Oracle location.
Once on the bridge, face right and look towards the open area. If you’ve become ascendant (by drinking the Tincture of Queensfoil) an invisible platform should appear before you. Hop onto it to reveal another platform — then another and another. Follow the platforms until you reach solid ground. Traverse the islands until you find the portal on the right-hand side of this new area.
Inside the challenge, you basically just have to climb. The challenge here is to not fall while the Taken try to deter you with boop-walls (swirling holes that periodically blast you off) or bomb blights. Just traverse the area slowly but surely, making your way to the top.
Once at the top, jump into the hole in the ceiling. You’ll encounter a Taken Phalanx boss. Kill it to finish the challenge.
