Destiny 2 Solstice of Heroes Guide – Armor Sets, Start Date, End Date

The Destiny 2 Solstice of Heroes event returns this summer before the arrival of Shadowkeep. It’s the Season of Opulence which pretty much perfectly aligns with what we’ve come to expect. Thus far, the Solstice of Heroes has featured some of the most lavish armor so far. This time around will be no exception with elemental themed flair via the ornament system.

With the Solstice of Heroes so far out, it doesn’t start until July 30, we know little about the event. What we do know was leaked with the latest Destiny 2 patch including the above image which we’ve also included below.

Bungie won’t announce the end date until closer to the event’s release.

The Solstice of Heroes is a tradition in which Guardians reflect on past hardships and celebrate the resilience of humanity’s foremost defenders.

Over the next weeks, Guardians will:

  • Pursue limited-time Solstice-themed armor sets.
  • Challenge themselves in combat meditation on a mysterious floating island int he European Dead Zone.
  • Complete Moments of Triumph for glory and loot.

Visit Eva Levante in the Tower to kick off the celebration.

That said, more information was discovered via light.gg’s datamining efforts. It looks like the package system from The Revelry is returning. You’ll need to farm Solstice Key Fragments which form into keys that open Solstice Packages. Someone will offer something called a Solstice Key Fragment Magnet which will “attract Solstice Key Fragments at an alarming rate.” Whatever that means. We don’t know how you’ll get them, where they’ll drop from, or how many you’ll need. We do know that the buff from that consumable will last for one hour, however.

It also still seems to be true that you’ll be given green armor across the board which can be leveled up by completing various objectives.

Of course, there’s the usual quest line as well. Eva Lavente will return and offer you a series of tasks. We’ve included them below.

1. The Solstice Begins – Speak to Eva

As per usual, to start things off all you have to do is talk to Eva Lavente in the tower. She’s usually located next to Ikora.

The Solstice of Heroes is a holiday in which Guardians reflect on past battles and celebrate their many efforts to defend humanity. Eva Levante has returned to help usher in the festivities. Speak to Eva Levante in the Tower.

2. Classified

The name of this quest step may be classified, but somehow you’re going to get the base green set Solstice of Heroes armor. Once you have this, travel back to the Tower’s central square and meditate at the Status of Heroes.

With your completed Drained Solstice armor set equipped, return to the Statue of Heroes to meditate.

3. The Solstice Begins – Return to Eva

So there’s a new European Aerial Zone on Earth. This should be fun. Looks like you’ll need to collect Elemental Orbs and defeat minibosses.

As you finish your exploration of the Aerial Zone, Ghost receives a message from Eva herself. She’d like to speak to you at your earliest convenience. Visit Eva Levante in the Tower.

4. The Solstice Begins

Meditate with the armor once again.

Eva has suggested you take the drained armor she’s given you and meditate with it at the Statue of Heroes in the Tower courtyard.
