The as-of-yet unnamed sequel to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse now has an official release date of October 7, 2022, delayed from its original date of April 8, 2022. There's a global pandemic happening, so we get it, but damn. That is such a long time from now. Update: This post originally stated the title of the first movie as Spider-Man: Enter the Spider-Verse. This has since been corrected.
Pros:
- The movie is still being made
- Delays mean less crunch (hopefully)
- More time to spend on animating Japanese Spider-Man's giant robot
