This iteration of Warden’s Law is the first Legendary Kinetic Heavy Burst hand cannon in the game. Here’s how players can get Warden’s Law and what the best rolls are for PVE and PVP.
How to get Warden’s Law
Players can get Warden’s Law by playing the Nightfall playlist. Lower tiers of Nightfalls have uncommon drops of Nightfall weapons and higher tiers have progressively more common drops. At higher tiers like Master and Grandmaster, Nightfall Weapons are guaranteed drops provided players kill all the champions in the Nightfall as that grants them a Platinum Rank for the Nightfall. Players can also get an Adept drop of Warden’s Law for completing the Grandmaster Heist Battlegrounds: Europa, which has access to Adept mods, bonus stats upon masterworking the weapon, and two perks in the third column instead of one. Players can focus Warden’s Law through Zavala for one Vanguard Engram, 25 Legendary Shards, and 20,000 Glimmer. Moreover, players can also focus the Adept Warden’s Law at Zavala for one Vanguard Engram, 50 Legendary Shards, 50,000 Glimmer, and 10 Nightfall Ciphers, which players can get by completing Grandmaster Nightfalls.
Warden’s Law God Rolls
Warden’s Law PVE God Roll
- Arrowhead Brake
- Extended Mag or Appended Mag
- Fourth Times the Charm
- Vorpal or Frenzy
- Masterwork: Reload
When it comes to PVE, there are two rolls worth seeking on this hand cannon, with Fourth Time’s the Charm being the core perk for both rolls. For the fourth column, the go-to perks are either Vorpal or Frenzy. Vorpal deals 20% more damage to bosses, minibosses, and vehicles, but Frenzy deals a flat 15% to everything. However, Frenzy only activates after being in combat for 12 seconds. Either of these perks combined with Fourth Times the Charm can be useful in endgame PVE. Arrowhead Brake is a clear winner when it comes to barrels. Since Fourth Time’s the Charm returns two bullets upon getting four consecutive precision hits, Appended and Extended Mag would allow players to get the most bullets off with one magazine before needing to reload.
Warden’s Law PVP God Roll
- Extended Barrel or Chambered Compensator
- Accurized Rounds or Steady Rounds
- Snapshot or Moving Target or Perpetual Motion
- Zen Moment or Kill Clip
- Masterwork: Range or Handling
Warden’s Law feels jarring in PVP, to say the least. With it being the first Heavy Burst hand cannon in the game, it’s understandable that this gun is a mixed bag when it comes to the Crucible. For stats, focus on range and stability. Stability is important because the visual kickback of the two-burst shots makes it hard to be accurate so stability helps tone that down. This also happens to be why Extended Barrel or Chambered Compensator are the top choices for barrels because they offer maximum recoil direction. These choices come at the cost of handling, so keep that in mind when using this gun. For perks in the third column, Moving Target is excellent for controller players, but for those who want to counteract the low handling of this gun, Snapshot or Perpetual Motion is the play. For the fourth column, Zen Moment and Kill Clip are the only two choices. Zen Moment helps further reduce recoil and flinch upon causing damage, which makes it a more consistent gun to fire with. Kill Clip is an excellent choice for chaining kills since Warden’s Law can defeat Guardians in Crucible with two bursts when Kill Clip is active.
