Persona 5 Royal Toranosuke Confidant Guide – Best Confidant Answers for Sun Persona

If you want to survive the dangerous metaphysical world of Persona 5 Royal then you’ll need to upgrade your Confidants. Similar to the original game, players will need to go through dialogue exchanges with Confidants to level them up and acquire new passive abilities. While some Confidants are met by just playing through the story, others require you to jump through a few hoops. Toranosuke Yoshida is one of these Confidants, as he is the most time restrictive character in Persona 5 Royal.

To even unlock the Sun Confidant you’ll need to get a job at the Beef Bowl shop. This can only happen once you gain the ability to explore Tokoyo at night, which is after the first palace. Once you take the job, start speaking with Toranosuke in Station Square at night. He will be the man in the grey suit and the green sash yelling at everyone. After you speak to him a few times, Toranosuke will appear in the Beef Bowl shop on Sunday night and compliment your work ethic. Do this once more and then go visit Toranosuke in Station Square the next night and speak to him. Agree to help him out and he will become your new Confidant after his speech.

Unlike other Confidants, Toranosuke is only available on Sunday nights. This makes him very tricky to level up, as you’ll need to plan around seeing him every week. I recommend doing this since Toranosuke’s Confidant abilities make negotiations with Shadows far easier.

In this guide we will list the most “impactful” choices during each Confidant meeting. While there are other options, these are the dialogue lines that net the most amount of points towards your Confidant. Keep in mind, there are a few moments where you’ll be awarded zero points or the same amount of points regardless of what you pick. We will label these sections as “Doesn’t matter,” if this is the case.

Note: “Phone call at Leblanc” means just that — as a reminder that these choices always still matter.
