Where to Find Sea Ganoderma
If you are looking to farm Sea Ganoderma you’ll have to leave the shores of the mainland. As it stands, the only place to find these Ganoderma is on the islands of Inazuma. The largest cluster of them is found north of Tatarasuna and east of Nazuchi Beach as you can see below. There’s also a healthy grouping south of the Kujou Encampment.
There are 40 Sea Ganoderma between these more ideal farming areas. If you really stretch yourself and get every single node on the map, you can walk away with 80 per refresh. How quickly you accrue the resource ultimately depends on how much time you’re willing to spend getting the harder to reach nodes.
Remember, these water bound mushrooms will respawn around every two to three real-world days. Because of this, I recommend hitting both areas areas. This will maximize your farm, reducing the amount of time spent waiting for them to respawn
There are a few more nodes around both the southern and northern islands as well as you can see below. Gathering all of these will net you another 18 Sea Ganoderma which isn’t bad considering you only need to visit four locations.
There is likely somewhere you can purchase Ganoderma as well, but we’re still exploring the new Inazuma region and Genshin Impact 2.0. We’ll keep you updated should we find more sources of the material. The resource was previously found in the Golden Apple Archipelago but that zone was a limited time feature of an event. These nodes replace those as the primary source.
Haven’t unlocked Inazuma yet? You’ll need to be at least Adventure Rank 30 or higher and have completed Chapter 2, Act 1: The Immovable God and the Eternal Euthymia. This is the new quest to gain access to the region.
Sea Ganoderma Uses
At the time of writing this, Sea Ganoderma is only used for character ascensions. Specifically, one character ascension: Kazuha.
It takes 168 of these to reach Ascension 6 for a single character, so I recommend you start farming early. Even if you don’t have Kazuha right now, there’s always a chance you could pick him up later down the road. Plus we don’t know if future characters will need this material!
