Where to Find the Fallout 4 Vault Suit in Ghostwire: Tokyo – The Crimson Moon Quest Steps

The Ghostwire: Tokyo Fallout 4 Vault Suit is an outfit for the protagonist, which you obtain as a reward for completing The Crimson Moon side mission. In order to unlock the quest, progress through A Maze of Life. After you’ve activated the Kuo Shrine, check your map and you should see the mission.

The Crimson Moon quest steps are as follows:

  • Pick up the observation device from the locker
  • Acquire lunar analysis data (three total)
  • Send Ed the lunar analysis data

The mission begins with a request from Ed, who asks you to pick up a device inside a locker. The location is literally to the side of the payphone, so you can’t miss it. Oh, and don’t worry, you don’t need to input the combination they tell you beforehand; the protagonist opens it automatically.

Once that’s done, you need to track down lunar analysis data from three spots. The exact locations aren’t marked, but we’ll go through them individually.

Western Building – Ghostwire: Tokyo Fallout 4 Vault Suit

Begin by heading over to the corner of the street — the protagonist is going to look at the building and mention they need to go up. That’s the basics for all three spots. For this particular location, look for the Tengu flying close to the vending machine on the map.

This leads you high up, but you need to get to the rooftop — for this, use the escalators. From where you just landed after using the Tengu, head forward and turn to your left to find the first escalator. From here, it’s quite straightforward — just keep on using the escalators until there are no more.

The next step to obtain the Ghostwire: Tokyo Fallout 4 Vault Suit includes using another Tengu. This one leads you directly to a ladder.

Once you’re up, turn around to find an elevator shaft. Hop on and press the button to get to the rooftop. Beware of a couple of spirits eager to welcome you with floating arms.

Now, it’s only a matter of moving all the way to the other side of the rooftop. You can use the massive Omega Pojishon sign as a visual reference, but you can basically just use any structure you can find (such as the AC units) to hop over containers and continue moving forward. Beware of a few more enemies around.

Eventually, you’ll stumble upon another ladder. Use it to get to the highest point of the building. From there, the quest marker will point you toward a spot in the center — interact with it to use the device.

Aim at the moon for a couple of seconds until the meter fills itself and you’re all set.

Two more buildings left to go!

Southern Building – Ghostwire: Tokyo Fallout 4 Vault Suit

This building requires you to navigate a construction site. I found the southwestern entrance to be the most straightforward, but it’s fairly easy to make your way to the top by using the multiple ladders and elevations around.

I used some “stairs” made out of woodwork to get to the second floor. It’s filled with enemies, so keep an eye out for them.

Then, I continued forward and found an elevator shaft — looking at the map, it’s placed on the eastern edge of the construction site, pretty much at the center.

Hop on and press the button to go up. You’ll go past the building’s sign and end up at the rooftop. There are myriad enemies around, as well as a few corruption sites. You have to cleanse them first, so take your time to go through them and take down all spirits.

After you deal with everything, use the stairs and head to the highest point. Once more, just follow the quest marker.

Scan the moon for a second time and you’re all done.

Only one building left!

Northern Building – Ghostwire: Tokyo Fallout 4 Vault Suit

For the third and last building, we’re heading back to Shibuya Crossing. Be careful not to expose yourself to the spirits’ marching — otherwise, you’ll be taken to an arena with tons of enemies. Instead, sneak your way past them until they’re gone and head over to the northern side of the marked spot, facing east (using the map as a reference).

There, you’ll find a series of staircases in an alleyway. Follow them all the way up until you stumble upon a pile of boxes.

Hop on the boxes and onto the rooftop just next to them. There is an elevator shaft that will take you up the building.

Once on the rooftop, move all the way forward and take a left turn to find a ladder.

No complicated obstacles to go through for this one — after using the ladder, you’re going to end up in the right spot, so you know what to do.

Scan the moon one last time to finish this quest step.

All that’s left is for you to return to the original phone booth, send Ed the requested data, and finish the mission.

The rewards for The Crimson Moon quest in Ghostwire: Tokyo are 5,000 Meika, around 750 Spirits, the Ghostwear outfit, and of course, the Fallout 4 Vault Suit. Congrats!
