Notable Announcements at the Kinda Funny Games Showcase

Hey folks! You prying yourself away from Super Smash Bros Ultimate for an hour or so to check out the 60 (!!!) games being announced at today’s Kinda Funny Games Showcase? Keep refreshing this article for news and notes from today’s event.

Judgment

The next game from Sega and the Yakuza team is officially Judgment. Though previously announced, we got a good long look at the legal beat-em-up coming next Summer to PS4.

The Walking Dead Final Season

The once-Telltale game survives and will be completed by ex-Telltale devs working for Skybound. Clem’s story will wrap up starting mid January 2019.

Vane

This PS4 indie is coming mid January 2019 and looks absolutely incredible. Transform into a bird as you explore what appears to be a constantly-shifting fantasy landscape unlike anything I’ve seen in a game.

Super Meat Boy Forever

The definitive entry in the Super Meat Boy canon will be out in April 2019.

ToeJam & Earl: Back in the Groove

1991’s favorite cool aliens are back in a new adventure featuring other playable characters besides the titular duo. I never got into this series, but this looks pretty slick and the soundtrack sounds incredible.

YIIK: A Postmodern RPG

This RPG about impending doom looks extremely 2018 despite (presumably) being set in 1999. Remember 1999? Oh gosh, how many people on the internet couldn’t possibly remember 1999. Oh wow. Wow. I’m getting old. 1999 was a really long time ago. Yikes.

This game might be perfect for me.

Quarantine Circular

Bithell Games’ short is out now on Nintendo Switch.

Editor’s note: the Switch version of this trailer had not been uploaded at the time of this writing.

Moving Out

Like Overcooked but can’t stand the heat of the kitchen? Moving Out appears to be the next step in domestic-based frenzy games. Moving is the absolute dirt worst but this trailer got me so psyched I might rearrange my entire office today. Yeah.

We will keep updating this article throughout the show.
