Showcased at the IndieCade booth at E3 2018, Fractured Lands is a (wait for it) PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds-styled battle royale, with a (waaait for it) Mad Max dieselpunk post-apocalypse twist.
Where PUBG focuses on survival on foot with rare, not-always-reliable vehicles, Fractured Lands puts cars front and center. Players can upgrade their vehicles (yes) with better armor and weapons, all while racing to evade a massive radioactive storm, which gradually narrows the map as players drop off and the competition grows fiercer.
Fractured Lands is the brainchild of veteran developers whose credits include Call of Duty, Battlefield, Medal of Honor, and God of War. With that kind of pedigree, it’s shaping up to be one of the more robust indie contenders in the quickly-oversaturating battle royale market.
