Final Fantasy VII Remake Review Podcast: Reunion

Return to Midgar for another visit from your good friends.

Square Enix has returned to Midgar with Final Fantasy VII Remake: the first in a multi-part stab at the beloved game for a modern era. But is it any good? That’s what we’re here to ask with our FF7 Remake review. Steven and John sit down to discuss the finished product and see what works, what doesn’t, what’s different, and what they’d like to see in the future. Warning: there will be (fairly mild all things considered) spoilers. If that’s okay with you, let’s dive right in!

You can download this episode directly right here. Otherwise, check out the player below, or head to iTunes and Spotify. While you’re there, consider rating us or leaving a review. It helps. Seriously!

Be sure to check back every Tuesday for another roughly 60 (or even 120) minutes of pure audio goodness. And hey! If you’ve already read this far, why don’t you head on over to iTunes¬†or even Spotify and give Fanwidth a rating and review? It really does help (seriously) and would mean the absolute world to us. And if you like our show, or have suggestions and questions for next episode, reach out to us at [email protected]! Steven reads all your messages and just might mention your query in the future.

  1. Hi- you’ve probably already received a lot of comments about this, but I just wanted to say that the guy in the Remake Review is wrong when he says you can’t lead into battle with any character other than Cloud. If you go into battle settings in the main menu you can change your battle leader. As far as I know you’ll always revert to Cloud when running around Midgar, but you can defo have Tifa (or Barret, or Aerith) lead in battle.
