Nintendo is holding another Nintendo Direct, and it’s coming up pretty quickly. As in tomorrow.
The presentation will take place tomorrow, September 23, at 3 p.m. Pacific/6 p.m. Eastern on Nintendo’s YouTube and Twitch channels, and will be focused primarily on Switch games that are launching this winter. So if you were hoping for another look at the upcoming Breath of the Wild sequel or some super-secret project for later in 2022, adjust your expectations accordingly. But this does leave the window open for some games like Metroid Dread, Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl (although those are more likely to appear at a Pokemon Presents stream, which we just got last month), or some third-party games like Shin Megami Tensei V and Danganronpa Decadence. But those are just games we know about. Hopefully, there are at least some surprises in store. There are 40 whole minutes for Nintendo to fill, after all.
Tune in 9/23 at 3 p.m. PT for a #NintendoDirect livestream featuring roughly 40 minutes of information focused mainly on #NintendoSwitch games launching this winter. pic.twitter.com/feHBEKfHPG

Also, a possibility is we might find out who the final DLC character for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is going to be, and since it will be the last character Sakurai and friends put in the brawler, I’m sure everyone will have a completely reasonable reaction to it online, even if it’s not the character they were expecting or pulling for. Right?
