Nick All-Stars is Adding a Teenage Robot, a Wallaby, and Jimmy Neutron’s Father to Roster

Nick All-Stars dunks on Jimmy Neutron and adds his dad, instead.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is expanding its character line-up. A new trailer posted on IGN reveals that Jenny “XJ-9” Wakeman from My Life as a Teenage Robot is coming to the game as paid DLC. But she’s also not the only character joining the game, as Hugh Neutron from Jimmy Neutron and Rocko from Rocko’s Modern Life are set to join later this year. All three characters will launch with extra costumes and custom stages based on the shows they originate from. The announcement video includes about 20 seconds of Jenny gameplay, but the developers have also posted Jenny’s move list on Twitter, along with a character walkthrough with more in-depth gameplay. Compared to characters in brawlers like Super Smash Bros., her move set includes a Samus-style homing missile and a Mega Man style uppercut. Meanwhile, Hugh Neutron is set to release sometime this summer, and Rocko will release sometime this fall, further backing October’s datamine that hinted towards characters from their franchises.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl has released other costumes and characters post launch, but this is the game’s first paid DLC. The Jenny Brawler Pack (which includes the character, costumes, and stage) costs $4.99, while the Universe Pack Season Pass (which will include all 3 characters) costs $11.99. These DLC announcements are also accompanied by a patch to the game, which includes adjustments to nine of the game’s playable characters, as well as some general bug fixes.

While the internet will certainly be excited about the meme potential Hugh Neutron brings, it’s interesting to see him added before his son, the main character of the show. Still, the developers’ support for the game shows no sign of slowing down, so it wouldn’t be surprising if we saw Jimmy, Timmy Turner from the Fairly Odd Parents, or any other seemingly overlooked characters included in an update some time down the road.
