In 2017, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild shook a number of foundations when it released, and has gone on to be the highest-selling Zelda title in series history. The sequel, announced in 2019, was introduced with an extremely brief story trailer, and we have not gotten many details until now.
During Nintendo’s E3 Direct, Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma introduced the latest trailer of the newest game in the series. While there was a lot to show, the target 2022 date does put a slightly damper on the excitement.
The new trailer did show, however, new weapons, a new design for Link, new powers, and an expanded setting that includes the sky above Breath of the Wild’s map. Aonuma did not have much more to say about the game, but presumably development continues apace to its 2022 release.
