Gays Can Drive Now With Rocket League’s Pride Month Celebration

*"Montero" blaring in the distance of all my highlight clips*

If you, like me, are a gay who cannot drive, you might find that a little bit easier in Rocket League as Psyonix is bringing new music and cosmetics to the car/soccer hybrid to celebrate Pride Month.

This includes a new car called Love ISLV Wheels and a collection of music Player Anthem Bundle. The new car is adorned with rainbow wheels and a pink exterior. That’s cool and all, but the real prize here is the new music from queer artists that you can play as you score sick goals and shit. The full list reads as follows:

  • “Imagine” by Ben Platt

  • “Platinum” by Big Freedia

  • “Bad Girl” by Daya

  • “Found My Friends” by Hayley Kiyoko

  • “Malibu” by Kim Petras

  • “PAIN” by King Princess

  • “MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name)” by Lil Nas X

  • “STUD” by Troye Sivan

Who among us wouldn’t have a shit-eating grin hearing “Montero” when we score a goal?

Love ISLV Wheels is available now, and the Anthem Bundle will be part of the Item Shop on June 21 at 6 p.m. PDT (June 22 at 1 a.m. UTC). The songs will be part of Rocket League Radio this month only, so if you want them to exist in your game for longer than June, you’ll need to pick them up as Player Anthems in the in-game store.

More of that gay shit:

Rocket League went free-to-play last year following developer Psyonix’s acquisition by Epic Games. More recently, the game came to mobile devices as Rocket League Sideswipe, which re-structures the game to work in a 2D setup rather than the 3D one used on PC and consoles.
