Pokemon Scarlet & Violet is still a few months away, but if you’re trying to get a sense of what Pokemon will be available in the Paldea region, we here at Fanbyte have a complete list of every confirmed pocket monster that will be out in the game’s open world.
First up, here’s a list of returning Pokemon that appeared in previous games. While it’s fair to assume the evolutions and pre-evolutions of these Pokemon will also appear in Scarlet & Violet, given that some Pokemon evolve into different forms in new regions, we’ve only included the ones that have been explicitly shown in trailers. So, for example, Pikachu is on this list, but Raichu isn’t because we’ve yet to see if it might get some kind of Paldean variant. This list is current as of the August 3 Pokemon Presents.

Up next are all the new Pokemon that will debut in Scarlet & Violet, from the starters to the legendaries:

Those are all the Pokemon we know about thus far. We know that the games won’t be bringing back the National Dex, which isn’t a surprise, but it does mean not every Pokemon from previous games will be returning. Which can be a good thing, but if anyone was expecting Game Freak to pivot after the reception to this change in Sword & Shield, that’s not the case. Pokemon Scarlet & Violet is coming to Nintendo Switch on November 18.
