Short of Some Surprises, Capcom’s E3 Showcase Seems Pretty Light

Two games that are already out, two that are a month away.

Capcom is holding its own presentation in the midst of the E3/Summer Game Fest mess of video game announcements this upcoming week (aka Hot Game Summer 2021), and the company has finally announced a date and time.

The developer/publisher’s E3 showcase will take place on Monday, June 14, at 2:30 p.m. Pacific Time/5:30 p.m. Eastern Time. While this might not be the full line-up, Capcom has confirmed it will be showing updates on The Great Ace Attorney ChroniclesMonster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of RuinMonster Hunter Rise, and Resident Evil Village. The latter two are already out, so it’s likely the showcase will include looks at upcoming DLC for those games. Notably, both Ace Attorney Chronicles and Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin are coming out next month. So unless there are some surprises in store, it doesn’t look like Capcom is looking that far out for its showing.

Comparatively speaking, Monday, June 14, is one of the lighter days of the next week. Along with Capcom, Take-Two Interactive has its own presentation, but most of the heavy hitters come before and after. Nintendo’s E3 Direct is happening the following day, and the Xbox/Bethesda conference is happening the day before.
