DICE LA, the studio behind one of the unannounced modes in the upcoming Battlefield 2042 (as well as work on the Battlefield series going back to Battlefield 4), has announced it’s rebranding and headed in a different direction after the game launches on October 22. The company will now be known as Ripple Effect Studios.
“We’re so proud of our work as DICE LA and the DICE team will forever be a part of our DNA, but over the past eight years, we’ve developed our own culture and our own way of doing things,” says General Manager Christian Grass in a blog post on the rebrand. “We’re excited to look towards the future, expand the team and establish our own identity.”
Vince Zampella, the CEO at Apex Legends developer Respawn Entertainment, will also be overseeing Ripple Effect studios alongside Grass.
“The talent here has a great track record of producing high-quality titles, and the studio’s set to make even more incredible games in the future,” Zampella said in the blog post. “With an amazing new campus coming to Los Angeles and remote positions available, now is a great time to consider joining us.”
