Back 4 Blood, an unashamedly Left 4 Dead spiritual sequel by much of the same talent, has been delayed from its summer release date into October.

The delay announcement, which came in the form of the above tweet, isn’t heavy on details, but we can probably presume it is getting delayed for the same reasons everything is getting delayed these days. It does, however, mention that an open beta this summer, but doesn’t narrow down the timeframe much beyond that.
The zombie-shooting co-op game was originally scheduled to be released on June 22, so four or so months is probably not as bad as it could have been. Back 4 Blood will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
