Hamm & Bublé: A Review

the ham bubbly is a 12lb champagne glazed smithfield ham perfect for lovers

Hamm & Bublé (SNL, 2010)

7.5

This is the most 2010 SNL sketch a person could imagine. It's the only funny host/musical guest sketch that I can ever remember laughing at. I was 15 when this episode aired.

Pros
  • "or the bubbly ham! a champagne inspired by elegance and purity and filled with floating chunks of pork – to let you know you're drinking something special"
  • Michael's scared "da-dadada-da... dada-dada-da" at the end is fucking funny
  • This gives us the clearest window into Michael Bublé's relationship with Rick Caruso, owner and proprietor of multiple malls in the Los Angeles area, including The Grove and The Americana at Brand
Cons
  • The neck on Jon's shirt looks weird, I dunno what it is. He's dressed better before.
  • This sketch betrays how long it actually takes to open a restaurant in New York City. If we believe Michael's telling of the story, it all came to bear very quickly
  • This gives us the clearest window into Michael Bublé's relationship with Rick Caruso, owner and proprietor of multiple malls in the Los Angeles area, including The Grove and The Americana at Brand
