Cheers: The Game: A Review

An adaptation of the hit sitcom, Cheers on the SNES has everything you love from the show: charming characters, witty jokes, and tense platforming action.

  • Sam jumps, ducks, and avoids hovering beer steins, angry patrons, and overtures of intimacy from romantic conquests just like in the show
  • Plenty of replay value: unlockable characters like Diane and Woody add new dimensions to the action
  • Some sections, like the Baseball Nightmare stage and the Personification of Alcoholism boss, can be overly difficult
  • Real-time "Norm" cycles frequently intrude on gameplay with unskippable sequences that take you out of the action
