Dead by Daylight Forsaken Guide - DBD Tome 7 Challenges

No mercy.

Dead by Daylight has opened the doors to Forsaken, a new Tome that expands upon the story of the iconic William “Bill” Overbeck from the Left 4 Dead series. As a result, you can expect multiple new challenges to complete, along with themed rewards as part of a new Rift Pass. That’s the DBD season pass if you weren’t aware. This guide will cover everything you need to know about Dead By Daylight: Forsaken, as well as a list of all Tome 7 challenges and Rift rewards.

How Does Forsaken Work and When Does It End?

The Archives’ Tome 7 for Dead by Daylight, called Forsaken as we’ve mentioned, launched on May 5, 2021. In terms of story, this Tome mainly focuses on Bill Overbeck from Valve’s Left 4 Dead, who has actually been a part of the DBD universe since 2017.

Players can learn more about the first days of that world’s zombie infection through his eyes. You do so by completing Master Challenges throughout the event. In addition, these challenges unlock story snippets of Adiris before she became the villain The Plague, along with ramblings about the fabric of reality from The Observer.

But if the narrative doesn’t sound appealing, there’s also a new Rift Pass with multiple Left 4 Dead themed charms and outfits. Just keep in mind that Forsaken ends on July 14, 2021! These items will only be available until then.

Tome 7 Challenges List

As of now there are a total of 23 challenges to complete during the Tome’s first level. More sets of challenges will become available from now until July. Until then, you have plenty to keep yourself busy. If this is your first time pursuing challenges, make sure to select one of them before entering matches, as the game won’t do it automatically for you. That being said, you can pause a challenge at any time in case you want to pursue a different one.

Experienced players may know what to expect, but Forsaken adds a brand new type of Glyph Challenge (which were first introduced back in Tome 6). This involves blue Glyphs that will appear during matches (referred to as “trials” in-game), which grant randomized status ailments to the player.

Dead by Daylight Tome 7 Rewards and New Rift Pass Items

Alongside Rift Fragments and Bloodpoints, you can also obtain cosmetic items as compensation for your efforts. Most of these are related to Left 4 Dead, too, so make sure to book as many Friday nights as necessary to obtain them before the current Tome ends.

Speaking of which, completing all Tome 7 challenges will grant you the uncommon charm “The Observer’s Burrow,” as well as 10 extra Rift Fragments. Leveling up the Forsaken Rift, however, guarantees way more items for your collection.

The free pass lets you unlock the very rare head Shades Up for William “Bill” Overbeck, as well as a mask for The Huntress, plus several torso and leg items. As for charms, there’s a Bill figurine that perfectly captures his… essence. Not to mention the Safe Room Exit door, a Boomer, and many more.

If you own the premium pass, you can expect dozens of Auric Cells bundles, and even more rare attires. Don’t expect to see Left 4 Dead items here, though. These are typically broader items for multiple survivors and killers — from Kate Denson to The Plague. All in all, if you’re mainly interested in L4D items, the free pass will do the job just fine.
