It’s been a quiet week on the PUBG Mobile front. But we expected as much with it being the tail end of Season 8. PUBG Mobile Season 8 Week 8 missions unlocked today for players who didn’t’ shell out for early access, meaning we’re officially at the finish line for a season that honestly feels like it started just a few short weeks ago.
So what’s next? Season 9, of course. It’s a little too soon for Tencent to divulge the nitty-gritty details of Season 9 themselves all over social media, but Reddit user IHateMOBAs19 (alright) caught wind of some early details provided by ShubhGamerz over on YouTube.
PUBG Mobile Season 9 Rewards – Royale Pass 9 Preview
The “leaks” appear to be from the current PUBG Mobile 0.14.5 beta branch, making it little more than a sneak peek of what’s to come. With news like that, it’s safe to assume the PUBG Mobile 0.14.5 release date will match the Season 9 start time of Monday, September 9. Don’t hold us to that, though.
PUBG Mobile Season 9 will stick to a theme just like past iterations. The seas of the nautical theme are parting, allowing us safe passage to a place where samurai reign supreme. “Warriors Unite” is the name of the game this time around, and we’re to expect some pretty cool samurai/ninja mash-up outfits.
And, of course, they’re set to be the main allure. We’re led to presume the main character skin is dubbed “Draconian Champion”, with a matching M16A4 to boot. The weapon has a more three-dimensional style than the UMP9, with a dragon wrapping around the body of the gun like an old ornament.
To complete the whole set, there’s even a dragon-embellished backpack reminiscent of traditional Japanese elementary school bags. There’s a matching Draconian Champion parachute to grab, too, but we’re not sure that’s a traditional item many Japanese school children stuff into their fancy bags.
Then there’s the new “Dragonfire” UMP9 skin. I’m not personally clued up enough with the old Japanese styles to comment on these, but I can give me own meaningless seal of approval. That’s one nice weapon skill you’ll be able to work towards throughout the Season 9 royale pass. Work towards because the “Level Up” button in the bottom right suggests you’ll need to put in some extra muscle to get your UMP9 looking like this.
The whole Season 9 Royale Pass set is said to include a whopping 75 rewards, with most of those obviously reserved for Elite Royale Pass holders. A total of 600 UC can be clawed back by leveling it up over the eight weeks following launch, with more “rare outfits” and the Le Tigre set and suit thrown in there for good measure. With dozens upon dozens of other rewards stuffed in there, prepare for crate scraps and other less than exciting rewards to pad the thing out.
As always, we’ll keep this place updated with all the PUBG Mobile Season 9 missions guides you could possibly need. That’s one every Thursday. That’s with early unlocks in mind, so expect a double drop when PUBG Mobile Season 9 kicks off next week.
