PUBG Mobile Season 17 Week 1 Challenges – Tips and Tricks

New season, new rules.

PUBG Mobile Season 17 is here, and it looks a little different. Themed after the Runic Power mode, the skins are phenomenal, yet the whole pass feels smaller. Like most seasons before it, some incremental changes have arrived to make the whole process a little less repetitive. You can learn more about the new Royal Pass mechanics and how to get RP fast over here. For now, though, it’s time to focus on the complete Week 1 challenge list and how to complete it.

Friend Squad Boost: Kill 30 enemies with M416 in Classic mode

As one of the most common ARs in PUBG Mobile, the M416 shouldn’t ever be hard to come across. Once it’s in your hands, the low recoil from its single-shot mode can secure kills no problem. The M416 can be outfitted with virtually any attachment out there, so however you prefer to grab your kills, this gun should be able to feel familiar enough to get results with.

Choice Mission

  1. Land on any rooftop in School (Erangel) 3 times in Classic mode
    • School features a few prominent rooftops to aim for. It’s a generally popular area, though, so expect action.
  2. Land on any rooftop in Ha Tinh (Sanhok) 3 times in Classic mode
    • Ha Tihn is a relatively small and often ignored part of Sanhok outside of these missions. There are plenty of rooftops, so it isn’t hard to stick the landing.
  3. Land on any rooftop in Water Treatment (Miramar) 3 times in Classic mode

    • Water Treatment is tricky to judge from afar. On the map, pools look like rooftops. Pay attention as it comes into view and divert your parachute.

Pick up Pistol in 20 matches in Classic mode.

Pistols are everywhere. If you’re not the kind to hot drop into a high-tier loot location or directly through a third floor window, chances are you’ll find a pistol before much else. And that’s okay! They can deal with the firefights you’ll run into during the first few minutes of the game. After that, they’re a handy sidearm you can whip out to deal the killing blow after you and your target run out of rounds in your assault rifles. Learn to love the pistol and it could just save your in-game life.

Give 20 LIKEs to teammates.

We can always count on this mission to help ease us into a new season. If you’re wondering how to LIKE teammates in PUBG Mobile, it’s a simple as hitting the thumbs up button on the results screen of a squad match. It’s there to show gratitude to valuable teammates, but when a mission like this comes along, just like anyone and everyone. You’re here for the RP, not a slap on the back.

Friend Bonus: Kill 3 enemies with Pan in any mode.

The infamous PUBG Mobile pan can one-shot a player, but getting close enough to reliably use it can be troublesome. Kit your squad out with pans and you can storm an enemy camp. Crouch as you skulk around a building. That way you’ll have a good chance of deflecting any bullets places between you and your target. The pan is just that strong. Secure three kills with your friends and you’ll even get a decent amount of bonus RP to make it all worthwhile

Choice Mission

  1. Travel for a total of 4000 meters while driving an air drop armored vehicle in classic mode.
    • To spawn an air drop vehicle in PUBG Mobile, all you need to do is fire a flare gun outside of the safe zone. Drive that straight into the middle of the safe zone and you’re sorted.
  2.  Travel for a total of 4000 meters while driving a monster truck in classic mode.
    • If you’re clueless as to where to find the monster truck in PUBG Mobile, head to Livik. You’ll find plenty. It’s the map’s exclusive vehicle.
  3. Travel for a total of 1500 meters while driving a Jet Ski in Classic mode.
    • The waters just south of Georgopol on Erangel is a great place to find the jet ski. 1500m in that thing? Easy.

Deal a total of 500 damage with headshots in Classic mode.

Most would think headshots only come from hyper-precise shots. That’s not true. There’s a good chance you’ve nailed targets with accidental headshots during hectic firefights — you aim for the body, but recoil forces you higher up your target. You’ll sooner tick this off with patient long range shots for sure, but with over eight weeks left in the season, you’ll almost certainly achieve this without thinking about it.

Use Energy Drink 30 times in Classic mode.

Two energy drinks is all it takes to have passive health regen kick in. It’s an integral mechanic of the survival game that every player needs to know. As it goes, 30 chugs isn’t as high as it sounds. A rough average would be that high-tier players down around 10 of these per round. In-game, of course. Outside, that amount in 20 minutes would certainly make your heart explode.
