PUBG Mobile Season 16 Week 4 Challenges – Tips and Tricks

Road trips are for the rich.

At the unofficial halfway point of PUBG Mobile Season 16, there isn’t a massive amount in the Week 4 mission list to get excited about. Elite Pass holders get to go on a solo road trip wherever they please while free players are stuck with picking up smoke grenades, cramming Arena matches, and pulling off two Top 2 team finishes. Though not in a row, thankfully. But there’s a tiny light somewhere in the tunnel of disappointment: one of the better missions is a Royale Pass choice task that has you pull off kills (or damage, at least) with some pretty niche equipment. How much experience with the sawed-off shotgun do you have?

Season 16 Week 4

PUBG Mobile Season 16 Week 4 Royale Pass Missions

Aid Mission: Revive teammates 24 times in Classic mode

It goes without saying that this can (and likely will) be gamed. If you notice just a little bit more friendly fire once this mission slides out of the EZ Mission License, you’ll know why. Reviving 24 teammates can take some time. If you’re doing it the normal way, that is. Especially if you’re only playing duos. Quads won’t be too much of a big deal. In fact, it’ll happen fairly naturally that way. But if you just want to get this over with, get a clan squad going and just fill each other with bullets.

Choice Mission

  1. Use Crossbow to deal 80 damage in Classic Mode

    • No, this isn’t a type. 80 damage is all it takes. A crossbow bolt will do that in just about any situation. Landing the hit, though? That’s another story. Try it out in the shooting range.
  2. Use Sawed-off to deal 220 damage in Classic mode

    • Arguably harder to manage than the crossbow mission, the sawed-off shotgun falls into the same risk to reward ratio. If you’re a QCQ kind of player, though, you’ll probably feel more comfortable here.
  3. Kill 3 enemies in Pan in Classic mode

    • Unless you’re some elite player, this isn’t even worth trying. While arguably less risky than the sawed-off shotgun, latency can really screw with you here.

Finish in the Top 3 with friends 2 times in Classic mode

This week’s free missions are asking a bit much, honestly. A Top 3 finish isn’t something the average player is capable of, never mind with a friend or two in tow. The best we can suggest here is to communicate, share loot, and stick together. Don’t start any unnecessary fights, and you’ll eliminate most of the risk.

Complete 14 matches in Arena

Look, we get it. Arena isn’t for everyone. PUBG itself showed that competitive shooters didn’t need to all be quickfire TDM and Domination games. But sometimes a 10-minute break away from the stress of a survival mode ,where players can go that long without firing a shot, can be a welcome change of pace. 14 Arena matches can be a lot to cram in at once, but weave them between your Classic matches, and you might go into your next serious game destressed from the failure of the last.

Kill 20 enemies with SMGs in Livik in Classic mode

Livik is a tiny map compared to the likes of Erangel and Miramar. It’s almost designed with SMGs in mind. Anywhere that isn’t a large stretch of open ground is prime SMG territory, so whenever you enter the vicinity of a town or outpost, switch to your favorite SMG and you’ll automatically have the tactical advantage against anyone who isn’t perched 200 meters out with a huge sniper rifle.

Pick up Smoke Grenade in 20 matches in Classic mode

Smoke Grenades are essential pieces of the PUBG Mobile puzzle. They can get you out of (and into) all sorts of situations when used correctly. It’s difficult to see the gain of almost blinding yourself, but learn to use the smoke to your advantage, and you’ll be in a better position overall. You’ll gain tactical choices, and learn how to spot them being used against you.

That being said, you don’t have to use them to clear this mission. Just fiddle them with your fingers. Pay the lonely Smoke Grenade some attention and you’ll get some RP in return. Easy.

Friend Bonus: Kill 2 enemies while driving a vehicle in Classic mode

This doesn’t have to be at the same time. Nobody is expecting you to line up two accounts of vehicular manslaughter. Your windshield wouldn’t survive that kind of punishment. PUBG Mobile‘s positional audio is laughably bad. Use that to your advantage.

If you’ve just watched someone crawl over a hill, get in a car and fling yourself over there. Chances are, they won’t be able to discern where you’re coming from until it’s almost too late. Track their movements and go in for the kill. We find it’s best to go in a straight line these days. Players expect you to weave to the left or right.

Choice Mission

  1. Kill 16 enemies with Assault Rifles in Sanhok in Classic mode

    • So long as you’re not crowding into Paradise Resort or Ruins, your AKM will probably serve you just fine practically anywhere in Sanhok. ARs are versatile. Just don’t expect them to match SMGs in close situations.
  2. Kill 7 enemies with Bolt Action Rifles in Vikendi in Classic mode

    • Get that Kar98k early and you can pop one or two gearless players out pronto. Double taps later in the game are tough but upgrade to something stronger and you might just seal the deal with a single blow.
  3. Kill 14 enemies with SMGs in Miramar in Classic mode
    • Pecado is probably one of the best SMG hotspots in Miramar. San Martin is up there, too. El Pozo steps into AR/sniper territory with how open it is, but a 2x scope can fill in with a steadier SMG.

Kill an enemy from 200 meters away 2 times in Classic mode

Anything other than decent sniper rifles become virtually useless 200 meters out, so it’s easy to imagine the type of gun you’ll want for this. The best bet for snipers is to camp a building on the edge of a town and aim straight across to the opposite side. If you want more choice and don’t mind being flanked, sitting in the middle of most larger towns can put 200 meters on either side of you. Just bring a good scope.

Travel for a total of 20,000 meters while driving a Vehicle in Classic mode

You better believe it’s road trip time! You don’t have to bring a friend along for the ride this time, but you do have to go pretty far to tick it off. Grab whatever vehicle you can find and start driving around the absolute edge of the circle. Try to steer clear of outposts and villages. Especially if you’re riding something like a bike. Other than that, just enjoy the scenery.
