Aid Mission: Win 20 times in Arena

Now this is the kind of mission I personally like to see at the top of the bunch. As it’s another Aid mission, 20 wins should actually mean around five, as you’ll naturally have three others winning with you each time. It sounds like they should just move this mission away from the Aid slot, but increasing the fulfillment criteria (almost) serves the same purpose.

We’re spoiled for choice with Arena modes these days, but whichever you choose, we’ve got a guide to help you make the top cut.

Choice Mission

  1. Finish in the Top 20 in Sanhok 5 times in Classic mode
    • Top 20 can be had with little more than strategic camping. Just predict the zone movements and hole out in a building if you’re not the fighting type.
  2. Kill 20 enemies with Assault Rifles in Livik in Classic mode
    • 20 kills with anything on Livik can take a while given the smaller match roster. And with it being a smaller map, the benefits of Assault Rifles shrink, too. Just stick to open fields or long corridors.
  3. Complete 2 Brothers in Arms matches
    • If you’re into tutoring or being tutored, here’s a good chance to be rewarded for your efforts.

Land more than 1500 meters away from the airplane 2 times

This one’s a departure from the usual “Land within” missions. Rather than dropping straight down after jumping, you’re to glide as far as they eye can see. Maybe it’s teaching patience, maybe it’s just to mix things up.

Either way, it’s an easy enough mission so long as you plot a course. Then again, not worrying about high-tier loot locations and “optimal” landings can take the stress and repetition out of the Battle Royale experience. Lighten up, people. Have some fun.

Land on any rooftop in San Martin (Miramar) 3 times in Classic mode

Let’s throw away all the shade of the last paragraph. Plan ahead with your landing and you’ll be able to tick one of these off at the same time. Say you’re flying in from the Northeast: you’d want to hop out of the plane as it passes Cruz del Valle to clear 1500 meters as you descend on San Martin. If from the West, El Pozo should be your jumping off point.

As for which rooftop to choose, it’s hard to say. San Martin has big and small rooftops, but after traveling so far, you won’t have much height to mess around with, and you’ll be going pretty fast to boot. Just aim for whatever you can (preferably a one story building with some decent length).

Open 4 Air Drops in Classic mode

Do what you can to skip this one. Air Drops are a massive pain to swipe given just how popular they are when they drop. Our go-to advice for treasure seekers, though, is to either wait it out with a sniper rifle, or charge in with a car and some smoke grenades. Carve a path through other brave souls, or just cloak your way in like a smart chicken.

Pick up 4x Scope in 10 matches in Classic mode

4x scopes are some of the most versatile sight options around. They’re not too much magnification in a pinch, and just enough to pick targets off at a reasonable distance. They’re best suited to Assault Rifles, so pair it up with the choice mission above if you’re opting for it.

They’re relatively common, too. Unlike the 8x scope that players fight over for the vast majority of a match, 4x scopes are typically spawned in high enough numbers that anyone who really wants one should be able to track one down without much effort.

Friend Bonus: Win a Classic match 1 time while wearing a military vest

Most players capable of winning a match will already be doing so with a military vest equipped, making this a bit of a needless challenge. What it might be doing, however, is teaching those who’ve gotten close to the finish line that a military vest is the key to victory. The best offense is a good defense, right?

You can’t exactly dodge a bullet, so damage mitigation really is the key to survival. And unless you’re able to pick off every enemy in the game before they can land a shot, a little bit of armor will go a long way.

Choice Mission

  1. Kill 20 enemies with SMGs in Los Leones (Miramar) in Classic mode
    • The sheer size of Los Leones makes it more of an Assault Rifle kind of town, but careful use of its walls and walkways can help you get in closer for some SMG kills.
  2. Kill 20 enemies with SMGs in Paradise Resort (Sanhok) in Classic mode
    • Paradise Resort is SMG paradise through and through. It’s small, enclosed, and even has a nice little plaza in the center to act as a dueling ground.
  3. Kill 20 enemies with SMGs in Sosnovka Military Base (Erangel) in Classic mode
    • Unless you’re landing on top of an SMG with a dozen others drifting in after you, SMGs in the Military Base aren’t a recipe for success. This one’s for the pros.

Kill 6 enemies with headshots in Classic mode

This mission and the one below go hand-in-hand — so long as you’re adept with the weakest of the bolt-action rifles.

Working in its favor, though, is the sheer common nature of the Kar98K in-game. It doesn’t take long to track one of these beauties down, but netting a kill takes patience. One misfire and you’ll have to hide or shift positions to get another shot before you have an enemy at the gates. Its reload mechanism takes some time.

If you’re skipping the mission below, however, any sniper rifle will do the job. If your gunning for air drops, the one you’ll often find in there can make this a cinch, as even the strongest head armor won’t stop its bullet.

Kill 6 enemies with Kar98K in any mode

There’s no need to waffle on too much about this mission; the Kar98K strategy was explained above. Simply put, it’s a common weapon with a lengthy reload time. It shines in the early game before enemies have a chance to gear up and mitigate its damage, but miss the kill and you might just miss the opportunity outright.

If you’re skipping the mission above or ticking it off through other means, body shots early on can speed this one up. It’s far easier to hit the chest than the head. It’s just a bigger target.
