PUBG Mobile Season 15 Week 1 Challenges – Tips and Tricks

PUBG Mobile 1.0 coincides perfectly with a new season. Let's check it out!

It only took well over a year to get here, but it’s finally time; the first Royale Pass of the full PUBG Mobile launch. With the 1.0 update now in full swing and Erangel 2.0 on everyone’s minds, it should come as no surprise that the first missions of Season 15 have us dropping into the game’s reworked classic map.

Whether you’re a F2P survivor or an Elite Royale Pass holder, this week’s missions shouldn’t soak up too much of your time. Numerous free missions can be completed in tandem with some proper planning, and Elite Pass holders only need to fight over a Ghillie Suit drop to complete the lot. Here’s the first mission list or the season and some choice tips and tricks for Season 15 Week 1.

PUBG Mobile Season 15 Week 1 Royale Pass Missions

Kill 36 enemies with Assault Rifles in Erangel in Classic mode

Of course the first week after the PUBG Mobile 1.0 Royale Pass would want us in Erangel 2.0. It’s brand-spanking new. As a sure-fire way of keeping the queues flinging players into a map that took the team over a year to piece together, it’s a long one. Thankfully, it’s also an Aid mission, so squading (squadding?) up will get this cleared in no time.

There isn’t much of a trick to getting kills with Assault Rifles. They’re practically the default weapon in PUBG Mobile. But kitting them out with the right scope for the job can make a big difference. Aiming at a target 50m out with iron sights isn’t easy — just like how peering down a 4x scope at a target swinging at you with a machete probably isn’t the best idea.

Pay attention to your attachments is what we’re saying here.

Choice Mission

  1. Land on any rooftop in School (Erangel) 3 times in Classic mode
    • Back to school we go. We all know now’s not the time to be crowding into the classroom, so onto those spacious rooftops we go. School is an easy rooftop landing to stick. Just be ready to fight for your life.
  2. Land on any rooftop in Ha Tinh (Sanhok) 3 times in Classic mode
    • Aim for the centre for larger rooftops (and more danger) or spin out to the outer edges for plenty of other (smaller) rooftops. Accuracy is rewarded with safety.
  3. Land on any rooftop in Water Treatment (Miramar) 3 times in Classic mode
    • You’ll find Water Treatment at the center north of the map. There are plenty of large rooftops, but you’ll want to avoid the largest to the north. That’s where you’ll find the loot, and thus the pros.

Kill 5 enemies with Pistol in any mode

The doens’t mean some generic weapon named “pistol”. It just means any old pistol you find lying around. They’re all fair game here, but if you’re going for this in the mid/late-game, you’re going to want a Desert Eagle to bust through the armor players pick up as the match goes on.

The best time to clear this is at the very start of the match, though. Before players gear up too much. Either land aggressively in a remote location (like a farm), run for a gun, and blast down any stragglers, or delay your landing, watch enemy movements below, land on the outskirts, and sneak up on them with whatever you found on the way.

If you struggle with them, the sawed-off shotgun and Skorpion are curiously listed as pistols in-game, so if close-range kills are your forte, opt for these.

Kill 5 enemies with S1897 in any mode

Unlike the sawed-off, the S1897 shotgun is…a shotgun. So don’t go expecting to clear two missions with a single weapon. Just like the aforementioned blaster, though, the S1897 is great for close-range kills and is arguably easier to find on your travels.

Grabbing kills with this gun requires a steady aim (or a great flick shot) and close proximity to your target. Storm a house with it, and get out of there if you need to reload before your target falls. You’re a sitting duck when that happens. Slam some new shells down the barrel and get back in there.

Add 6 friends

This one can be easily completed by running with squads for the Aid mission at the very top of this guide. It’ll take a few matches to clear, so add anyone and everyone you matchmake. They’re usually more than willing to accept new additions to their list. It’s like a muscle reflex in this game.

And if you don’t like them, just delete them right after. The game can’t take what you’ve already claimed.

Give 20 LIKEs to teammates

Likewise, this traditional first week mission plays well with the last. While you’re adding those friends from squads on the results screen, toss them all likes as well. The feature is designed to acknowledge great behavior and sportsmanship, but when precious RP is locked behind a tall gate such as this, it’s quicker to toss “LIKEs” out to everyone than to wait for genuinely good players. They’re too rare…

But do please get into the habit of using the feature to let good players know they’re appreciated. That’s why this mission exists, after all.

Friend Bonus: Restore 1000 Health in Classic mode

Friend Missions are tricky. We don’t tend to give them much attention in these weekly guides, but they’re worth trying to maximize just to save a bit of time in the future. Basically, you get additional RP (up to 60) for each Royale Pass holder in your team when you complete a Friend Bonus mission.

The problem is, it’s hard to find them, and even harder to time the mission to complete with them. It’s easy enough if you play with a bunch of pass-purchasing pals, but when you flip-flop between randoms and friends, it’s hard to stay in control.

Whichever way you decide to tackle this one, the objective is the same. Heal up. Get into the habit of filling your inventory with restoratives and use them before, after, and even during skirmishes when you can. Health is what keeps you from landing back on the lobby screen, so keep it topped up and you’ll clear this in no time.

Choice Mission

  1. Kill 18 enemies with the P90 in Arena
    • Arena matches are largely close/medium-range affairs, making the P90 SMG a great option for it. Its ridiculously fast fire rate can leave you needed to reload often, though, so bullet management and aim will go far.
  2. Kill 4 enemies with Win94 in Classic mode
    • The Win94 is one of the most common sniper rifles around, and now that it comes with scope, it’s a great early game gun to grab. It won’t deal much damage through late-game armor, but make good use of it early and you’ll grab the required kills without much effort. Body shots are enough.,
  3. Collect rewards from the Energy Tower 2 times in Beyond A.C.E mode
    • You won’t see it mentioned on the menu, but you have a chance to land in Beyond A.C.E mode when queuing for a match on Erangel. Just track down and visit one of the many Energy Towers on the map to clear this.

Pick up a Ghillie Suit in 5 matches in Classic mode

This is probably the only true Elite level mission this week. Ghillie Suits are only available through air drops, making them incredibly difficult to reliably obtain.

Our go-to tips for nabbing an air drop depend on the type of playstyle you employ. Hang back and pick off eager players if you track the package down to its landing spot. If aggressive rush tactics are your bread and butter, use a vehicle and/or smoke grenades to create a path and cover to grab the goods.

Destroy 10 vehicle tires in Classic mode

Remember; you don’t need to shoot out someone’s tires from underneath them. It doesn’t matter whether the vehicle is occupied or not. If you’re not in need of one yourself, blow out the tires on any car or bike you find. If you do, shoot them after use so that nobody else can use it to chase you down.

Shooting out the tires of another player is a great tactic. It forces them out of the car in a psuedo-chokepoint you can preemptively aim at. But you can get this mission done much faster by letting go of your need to feel like an action hero.
