PUBG Mobile Season 14 Week 1 Challenges – Tips and Tricks

There's a lot of leather this season!

PUBG Mobile Season 14 is here. It’s far from the military setting we imagined, but with even the game’s social channels taking the time to explain to commentators about how each season is designed to appease individual styles, the new elemental style outfits are neat from a fantasy perspective.

This season doesn’t feature any new mission types as far as we’re aware. The aid mission icon has been tweaked to be a little clearer, but aside from a new way to sub to the Elite Pass for Android users, there isn’t much to talk about. Here’s your inaugural Season 14 Week 1 mission list and guide.

Aid Mission: Revive teammates 24 times in Classic mode

In squad matches, you should always be sticking with your team. There’s no point playing with others if you’re just going to play lone wolf. Once you’ve got that basic aspect down, reviving teammates shouldn’t be too difficult. It’s rare for opposing squads to rush others, so if a teammate gets whacked poking their head out, chances are you’ll have time to get them back up. Just get your friends to lay down the suppressing fire to keep the enemy from closing in. Smoke grenades can help in a pinch, too.

Choice Mission

  1. Land on any rooftop in Pochinki (Erangel) 3 times in Classic mode
    • Pochinki is a dense little town. Though there are plenty of pathways, you’re unlikely to slip through the cracks.
  2. Land on any rooftop in Los Leones (Miramar) 4 times in Classic mode
    • Los Leones has plenty of donut style buildings. The kind you can fall right through. It’s vast, but easier ones to land on will likely be littered with enemies.
  3. Land on any rooftop in Quarry (Sanhok) 3 times in Classic mode
    • Roofs in Quarry as sporadically placed. You have less chance at immediate death here, but landing takes more precision.

Finish in the Top 3 with friends 2 times in Classic mode

This mission should go hand-in-hand with the aid mission above. Winning a squad match is all about teamwork. Stay close to your team and you’ll have a far higher chance of survival. Share your resources and find ways to communicate.

Don’t spark unnecessary skirmishes by firing at enemies hundreds of yards away, either. If you need to fight them, think about finding a way to surprise them on two sides. Sneak to their flank or rear before getting your teammates to engage from the front.

Complete 14 matches in Arena

Arena matches like TDM and Assault take a mere five minutes to complete. Even if Arena isn’t your personal jam, setting aside an hour or so to tick this mission off it easy. Remember: you don’t have to win the matches. Just seeing the results screen is enough. That being said, they’re fantastic ways to practice the types of fights that can end a good BR run, so any practice here can translate straight into the main game.

Pick up Smoke Grenade in 20 matches in Classic mode

Smoke grenades are everywhere. Absolutely everywhere. The average player rarely uses them, but look at the pros on YouTube or during competitions like the PMCO and you’ll see plenty of strategic smoke grenade play. This mission isn’t just filler: it’s trying to teach the masses an important tactic.

Kill 20 enemies with SMGs in Livik in Classic mode

SMG kills require close to mid-range combat: their high fire rate and resulting recoil making “larger” targets a must for quick kills. For this, you want to hit up towns and settlements for the most part. Midtstein, Hose Farm, and the Power Plant are all areas in Livik that warrant your SMG. Likewise, any time you in a building, SMGs are largely a good bet.

Kill 2 enemies while driving a vehicle in Classic mode

Cars are loud. People hear them coming. You can chance a kill over a hill, but the easiest way to get a kill is to just wait for it to happen. Charge at a target out in the field, but don’t try to predict how they’ll dodge. Just follow them as they turn.

They can’t make any seriously sharp, sudden movements, so as long as you track them throughout the drive, you should have a pretty good chance to take them out. If you miss, just keep going. Find a new target. You’re easy pickings when you have to turn around.

Choice Mission

  1. Deal a total of 3600 damage in Classic mode
    • There’s no way you’re getting this done in one match: but you don’t have to. Just stick to your usual strategies and you’ll tick this off eventually. Even if it’s in Week 8, RP is RP.
  2. Deal 7500 damage in Arena
    • Let’s say you average 15 kills per Arena match. That’s essentially 1500 damage. It’ll take you 5-10 matches to clear this: which most of what you need for another mission this week. Easy.
  3. Deal 4000 damage in Payload
    • With so many explosives up for grabs, 4000 damage in Payload can come pretty quick. Or you can get slaughtered just as a fast. This one can go either way.

Kill an enemy from 200 meters away 2 times in Classic mode

Snipers are by and far the best way to clear this mission. They’re designed for long, single-shot kills. Find your favorite (with a scope) and get some high ground overlooking an open field or street. At a push, your preferred assault rifle set to single-shot with a 4x scope can work, too.

Travel for a total of 20,000 meters while driving a vehicle in Classic mode

It’s road trip time! If you’re not one to typically use vehicles, you can clear this by grabbing a car, truck, or bike and just booking it around the outer edge of a map. Choose a route that doesn’t involve chokes like bridges to save from being killed during your favorite tune. It’s a long one, but you’ll get there.
