Welcome to your first week of PUBG Mobile Season 9. A few things have changed this time around, but the mission layout remains more or less identical to past seasons. And like past seasons, we’ll be guiding you through each and every weekly mission set over the coming months.
PUBG Mobile Season 9 Week 1 Mission Guide – Royale Pass Missions
Land on top of any building in the school area 3 times – 50 RP
That’s right – we’re back on this horse already. The PUBG Mobile School area is found on the Erangel map. It’s a small portion found toward the center of the map, just underneath the Rozhok encampment.
All you need to do is jump from the airplane and land on any building within the School portion of the map. Remember to slow down and circle a roof as you get close to avoid overshooting your landing.
Win a Classic match while wearing a Lv. 3 Helmet – 100 RP
This honestly sounds easier than just finding a Lv. 3 helmet in the first place. If you’re getting into the Top 5 or Top 10 to even have a shot at this, chances are you can loot a Lv. 3 helmet for anyone you take down within that final leg of the match. Just pop a smoke as you go to loot and you shouldn’t have too much trouble finding one of these.
Add 3 Friends – 50 RP
PUBG Mobile is a multiplayer game, and Tencent want you buddying up as much as possible. There are plenty of social resources – like the official PUBG Mobile Discord group – to make this a breeze.
But if you’re looking for slightly more meaningful and less random choice in your friend-making schemes, just play a few random squad games and add the players you do well with.
Give 20 LIKEs to teammates – 50 RP
See what I mean? Squad up. The quickest way to get this done is to play a few rounds of Team Deathmatch. The matches fly by and you’ll have three very receptive people to give that big thumb to after each match.
If you need a few pointers to not drag your team into oblivion, check out our TDM guide.
Use the Clap or Greet emote in Pochinki – 50 RP
Unlike later season pass emote missions, this one can be completed with just the default emotes available to all players. You don’t even need to clap or greet another player.
Just drop in or travel to Pochinki on the southern side of the Erangel mainland, pop the emote, and go about your day. This is easy to do after landing on the School due to its close proximity.
Reach Gold tier or above – 50 RP
We can’t offer any specific advice for this one. It’s entirely dependant on your own skill and willingness to climb. Most will reach Gold tier by simply playing the game frequently as skill increases naturally.
If you’re really struggling, we suggest looking watching pro matches and influencer YouTube videos to get a true feel for the game.
PUBG Mobile Season 9 Week 1 Mission Guide – Elite Royale Pass Missions
Complete 15 matches with friends – 150 RP
Starting to see the pattern here? Good. After playing a few squad games in TDM to dish out likes and adding those who played well, you’ll want to send or accept invites from these players and stay on the grind.
As everyone with an Elite Royale Pass will be clearing the same mission, communicating to ensure you’re all happy with the modes you’re playing will go a long way to getting this done fast.
Kill 3 enemies with a pistol – 75 RP
This is one you might want to clear in Quick Match mode. It isn’t a guarenteed weapon variation, but the “pistols only” version shows up more often than not. You won’t know until you land, but having everyone square off with just pistols makes for a fairer fight. A fairer fight should help you get those kills.
Kill 15 enemies with assault rifles in Sanhok in Classic mode – 75 RP
This is one that should come naturally. Assault Rifles are the most common gun type in the game. Everybody uses them in practically every match. You’ll have the best success with this by picking people off at medium distances with a decent scope.
You can opt to travel to a high-valued area of Sanhok to run into more targets, but these are often littered with buildings, increasing the risk of dying to an SMG or shotgun in the process.
Destroy 10 vehicle tires – 75 RP
Many people probably overthink this. There doesn’t need to be anybody driving the vehicle when you pop the tires for this to count. Just shoot the wheels of any vehicle you come across.
There’s actually a tool on the interactive PUBG map site that shows potential vehicle spawn points, so make use of that to speed things along. Just don’t pop the tires of any vehicle you think you might need. You don’t want to be the self-inflicted sitting duck.
