With PUBG Mobile Season 7 making room for Season 8, the PUBG Mobile 0.13.5 update beta has spilled onto the test server. We don’t usually have to wait for a full two month season to pass for a major update to arrive, but there’s no better timing. Who wouldn’t hope for plenty of new content to reinvigorate the game on top of new seasonal outfits?
PUBG Mobile 0.13.5 Features
This time around, a new weapon is bound to be the most exciting aspect for most. The PP-19 arrives with PUBG Mobile 0.13.5, taking a spot as the game’s fifth submachine gun. The well-known 9mm Russian SMG made its debut on other PUBG platforms a few months back following the Vikendi map trailer tease and is just now making the PUBG Mobile jump.
Sadly, the only PP-19 spawn locations are limited to Erangel and Vikendi for now. Its high recoil and lower damage per round put it below the Vector and UMP9 in those categories, but its larger magazine and lower sound output should make is a great choice for sneak attacks around rural areas. According to Firstpost, the update will even see skins made available for the DP-28.
PUBG Mobile 1.13.5 Season 8 Details
But enough about guns! Season 8 will kick off during the 0.13.5 update, meaning there’s a whole new Royale Pass to work on. We expect full details of this to drop in the next few days, but right now all we know is that Season 8 is officially dubbed “Power of the Ocean”.
Given the big tentacle figure eight, underwater backdrop, and shadowy ship wheel adoring the poster, it’s certainly going for a nautical theme. Could that mean even more monster-style outfits are coming to take on Godzilla and Ghidorah? We’ll have to wait a little while longer to see.
The whole season 8 outfit will be available in Gold tier, exclusive weapon skins in Diamond, “special team-joining effect and name tags” in Crown, and a permanent title in Ace. For those who love to climb, kill points will have a greater impact on your tier from here on out. You’ll even kick off a new season in your previous tier if you ended in Gold or below.
As mobile graphics continue to improve in new flagship handsets, PUBG Mobile players will gain the option to spruce up in-game performance even further. Following the update, HDR mode will finally be allowed on high frame rate settings – for the currently unknown list of handsets capable of pulling it off, at least.
PUBG Mobile 1.13.5 Release Date
PUBG Mobile 0.13.15 is expected to reach the live game sometime next week. The beta branch allows eager players to test out things like new guns and systems ahead of time. It helps ensure no game-breaking bugs disrupt the main game, while testers get hands-on experience with new stuff, potentially allowing for a strategic headstart while other players learn the ropes.
