PUBG Check-in Dinner Event Guide – How to Join, Schedule, Rewards List

RSMVP.

The recent shift for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds to a free-to-play model has seen a huge increase in players. It wasn’t without its initial server issues, but now everyone is able to jump into the game across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox without many hurdles. As a token of appreciation, the developer shared details regarding the upcoming PUBG Check-in Dinner event, which will allow you to earn several rewards merely by playing.

That being said, there are a few steps to know beforehand. This guide will explain how to join the Check-in Dinner event, what its schedule looks like, and the rewards you can get your hands on.

How to Join the Check-in Dinner Event Guide – PUBG

First of all, you need to manually sign in for the PUBG Check-in Dinner Event via the game. In the main menu, head to the News section (represented by a newspaper icon on the upper right corner) and you’ll see the Check-in Dinner event there. Click it to be redirected to a website. Once there, click Join Event.

You can see the Check-in Dinner event banner next to the polar bear.

You don’t need to log in or anything, as the link automatically tracks your account. This also makes it a bit of a pain as you can’t just access the site and join without entering the game, but it only takes a couple of seconds.

Afterward, you’ll be able to see the objectives tracking directly on this site, not in-game. Luckily, it’s all straightforward from here, but make sure to join the event as early as possible.

What’s the PUBG Check-in Dinner Event Schedule?

The event is divided into two:

  • Weekend Check-in event: This event is available throughout two weekends, with the first being between January 21 and January 23, and an upcoming second round from January 28 to January 30. For this, you’ll have to survive at least one hour of normal or ranked mode each day.
  • Weekly Check-in event: This event is available from January 21 to February 17, and it features one reward per week. For this, you’ll have to survive at least one hour of normal or ranked mode three times a week.

Now, let’s get into the details. In both events, attendance will be counted when your cumulative time of survival and spectating allies reach one hour for that day. As mentioned, this only applies to normal and ranked modes. The tutorial, training, and arcade modes will not count towards the progression.

Make sure the event site displays this for you after joining.

The event timer for each day starts at midnight and resets at 23:59 UTC, which translates to 3:59 p.m. PT/6:59 p.m. ET. In detail, the entire match playtime is added based on when you started it. For example, if the match kicks off at 11:55 p.m. and ends at 12:10 a.m., going from Day 1 to Day 2, the entire 15 minutes are counted as playing on Day 1.

Keep in mind that, after a match ends, it may take PUBG up to 40 minutes to calculate the event playtime and update your progress. As a rule of thumb, visit the site and check on the attendance stamp to see whether or not it counted. Once conditions are met, the rewards are automatically sent to the in-game customization tab.

Lastly, Stadia players are excluded from the event, sadly. If you’re a Stadia user, it’d probably be best to skip the next section to avoid FOMO.
