How to Complete Fortnite Season 7 – Week 2 Challenges

fortnite season 7 week 2

Another week, another round of challenges are here in Fortnite: Battle Royale. Season 7 is underway and this Thursday kicked off Week 2 for the game’s new weekly challenges.

If you’re interested in completing the Dec. 13 weekly challenges, just log into Fortnite, look over your objectives, and start playing some matches. This time around, you need to search for chests, kill opponents at Snobby Shores, or join a Dance Off.

If you’re interested in completing all of your Week 2 Fortnite challenges and completing your second Snowfall Challenge, here’s how to finish all seven objectives.

Free Challenges

Search a Chest in different Named Locations

This one is pretty straightforward. Just visit seven different Places of Interest on the map. Look for a Treasure Chest and then open it up! We recommend visiting areas that aren’t particularly popular for player-vs-player combat. In other words, choose Lazy Links over Tilted Towers.

Damage opponents with different types of weapons

Again, this challenge is pretty easy. Scavenge for Shotguns, Assault Rifles, and other guns, then take aim at your opponents and fire. You’ll quickly earn this challenge if you focus on accessible weapons with a minimal skill curve, such as Shotguns, Assault Rifles, and SMGs, over Sniper Rifles and Explosives.

Eliminate three opponents in Snobby Shores or Fatal Fields

This is one of the harder challenges from Week 2, and for good reason: eliminations aren’t easy. If you’re struggling to kill opponents, try partnering up with a friend in duos or working with friends in a squad. You’re more likely to land kills if you have a buddy or three supporting you. You can even take turns letting each other get the killing blow (if you’re confident enough).

Battle Pass Challenges

Stage 1: Visit Snobby Shores and Pleasant Park in a single match

This stage-based challenge isn’t too difficult. It just comes down to luck. For Stage 1, we recommend dropping at Snobby Shores first, then working your way to Pleasant Park by All Terrain Kart, Quadcrasher, X-4 Stormwing, or foot. This should prevent you from wandering too far from the eye of the storm, as opposed to working your way from inside the map to the edge of it.

For Stage 2, visit Lonely Lodge and Dusty Divot. This one involves a little more distance, and for added protection, either an X-4 Stormwing or All-Terrain Kart should give you the speed and defenses you need to make sure you can complete the challenge.

Last but not least, you’ll need to make it to Frosty Flights and Tomato Temple in one match. Grab an X-4 Stormwing for this one; it’s the easiest way to visit both places in a short time frame.

Fortnite weekly challenges

Play the Sheet Music on the pianos near Pleasant Park and Lonely Lodge

This challenge is a little tricky. First, you need to find the giant pianos at both Pleasant Park and Lonely Lodge. Then you need to play the exact notes listed on the sheet music signs provided in front of both pianos. If the piano plays back a Christmas jingle, you know you’re in the clear. If not, try again. Play on both pianos to complete this challenge.

We’ve gone ahead and marked where both pianos are located on Fortnite’s map. Check out the image above for more information.

Compete in a Dance Off at an abandoned mansion

This weekly challenge is considered a difficult one, but all you really need is a partner to join you for a dance off. First, you’ll need to find the abandoned mansion hanging out near Lonely Lodge and east of Retail Row. Next, head on down to the basement. Either heading into the mansion’s ruins and working your way downstairs or entering from the side will do the trick.

Once you’re in, you’ll notice an enormous sound system, a scoreboard, and two 3×3 platforms set up. Once there’s one player on each platform, the Dance Off will begin. You’ll need to collect points by running to the highlighted square and using an emote. Whoever earns the most points wins.

If you’re unsure who to partner up with for the Dance Off, try getting a duo or squad together. It’s the easiest way to earn the challenge, given how solo play isn’t the best way to make friends.

Eliminate an opponent from at least 50m away

Last but not least, Battle Pass owners have an elimination challenge that involves killing an enemy 50 meters away. For this one, we recommend grabbing a Sniper Rifle or Assault Rifle and taking pot shots at enemies from a sniper tower. Practice makes perfect here, as it may take a few tries before you land a shot from a distance if you’re used to short-range combat.

And that’s all for this week! Check back next Thursday for our usual round of guides to that week’s challenges.
