So you need Noctilucous Jade, eh? If you’re experienced with Genshin Impact, chances are you already know exactly why you’re looking for Noctilucous Jade, aka Noct Jade. For those of you who don’t, it’s one of the many materials you need to collect in order to make your characters stronger and stronger. Thankfully, it’s currently only used in Beidou’s character ascension which means you won’t need an incredibly high amount of it. Here’s where to find Noctilucous Jade, how to harvest it, and what items it’s currently used for.

Where to Find the Noctilucous Jade
If you’re looking to farm Noctilucous Jade you, thankfully, have a few locations to check out. By far the largest deposit can be found around Mingyun Village in the shadows of Dragonspire. These are groups or nodes or plentiful nodes which offer more than a single Noct Jade. Most will give you at least two in return, if not more. While there are a few more nodes scattered throughout the map, the only other grouping is inside Mt. Tianheng, just behind Liyue Harbor. You can enter the mine via the south side of the mountain. These resource nodes are less productive, however.
You can also purchase Noctilucous Jade from Shitou in Liyue Harbor. He keeps five stocked and each will set you back 1,000 Mora.
Remember, the nodes and store vendor will refresh around every two to three real-world days. Because of this, I recommend hitting both areas. This will maximize your farm, reducing the amount of time spent waiting for them to respawn.
I give all the credit in the world to those behind this superb interactive Genshin Impact map below.
Noctilicous Jade Uses
At the time of publishing, Noctilicous Jade is only used for Beidou’s character ascension.
It takes 168 Noct Jade to reach Ascension 6 for a single character, so I recommend you start farming early. Even if you don’t have Beidou right now, there’s always a chance you could pick her up later down the road.
It is possible that the the jade will become more universally useful when another patch releases. We will update our guide with any new information or if changes are made to this crafting material.
While we don’t yet have a guide for Beidou, stay tuned! We’re always working on our Genshin Impact coverage and will have much more to come in the coming weeks and months!
