Welcome to our final Gears 5 guide to every collectible! We’ve finally made it to Act 4: the last leg of the game’s single-player campaign. And at least as far as collectibles are concerned, there’s not much to worry about! Whereas the previous stretches had more than 20 lost items apiece, this final act only has measly four in total. Even more conveniently, they are each located in the very same chapter — specifically the first one of the act. You won’t need to muddy the dramatic conclusion of Gears 5 by hunting for doodads for long.
That being said, now is a good time to circle back and make sure you have everything. There are more than a hundred collectibles strewn throughout the entirety of Gears 5. And, naturally we have guides for all the other acts. We wouldn’t want you to collect all this garbage without a helping hand, now would we? That’s why you can check out our collectible locations for Gears 5 in the following links:
And now is the moment you’ve been waiting for. It’s time to find the final four collectibles in Act 4 of Gears 5. Good hunting!
Chapter 1: Homefront – Gears 5 Collectibles Guide
Encyclopedia of Tyran Military History: After Cole gives you a lift up to the second floor of a building, proceed downstairs. You will see the collectible straight ahead of you on the floor.
Ruptured Gear Helmet: After you defeat the Swarmak, Kait will head off through the building to rescue Paduk. When you drop down to the street, turn right. That’s where you will see the Ruptured Gear Helmet — perched on top of the edge of the broken road.
COG Tags – Minh Young Kim: This one is outside the Tomb of the Unknowns, in the water. Stand in front of the door and then turn around 180 degrees. The COG tags are on a piece of rubble ahead of you — stuck in place with a knife. This is presumably the one that General RAAM used to kill poor Kim all the way back in the first Gears of War. It’s a nice little callback, if a bit sad that it’s taken literal decades to recover the poor guy’s memento…
Restoration Notice – Tomb of the Unknowns: Check on the doorway to the Tomb of the Unknowns, just before you enter the door to rescue Paduk.
And that’s it! You have no located every single collectible in Act 4 of Gears 5. The rest of the game is smooth sailing from here on out (at least as far as digging through trash is concerned). Not to mention that, if you’ve been following along with our previous guides to Act 1, Act 2 and Act 3, then you should now have every collectible in Gears 5. As Marcus would say: nice.
Feel free to check out the rest of our coverage of Gears 5 elsewhere on Fanbyte. In the meantime, we’re going to take a long, long break after this one… Those COG tags didn’t exactly bend down and pick themselves up or type their own directions. Our fingers are pretty sore after this one.
