Fortnite Season 8, Week 6: Highest Elevations, Knife Points

****** INCOMING TRANSMISSION ******

We don’t know what’s happened to Jordan, but he’s attached the Season 8, Week 6 Fortnite challenges with the following message. So while you’re visiting the highest elevations, searching for where the knife points, and visiting the wooden rabbit, a stone pig, and a metal llama, we’ll be searching for him. Wish us luck.

HANDSHAKE FAILURE
REBOUND FAILURE
CONNECTION: INSECURE

This is an urgent distress call from the research vessel NFBSS1 Diamandis. Hull integrity is at 13 percent and falling. Access to the lifeship has been cut off by hard vacuum; I’ve sealed myself on the bridge to buy some time but the bulkhead is starting to give. I cannot provide coordinates or a relativity index as navigation systems have failed — please use a handshake/rebound trace to determine my location and send immediate assistance. I’ve packaged the timepull data we were able to collect before the anomaly cascade, and encoded it into the backwave of this message. If I don’t make it, send this to Warren Mk.3 vas TerraCent in the Orion arm. They’ll know what to do with it.

Please hurry. I think I’m the only real person left on the s̉̀̓̐̚͏̼̱̦͈̻͙̘̬̙̝͉̮̀͞ͅh̷̥̞̩̦͖̺̱̭̜̬̬̪͎͖̞̩̗̏̆ͩ͗͟͢ͅi̘͚̭̘͖̭͕̥͈̹͐̎ͦ̆̎̍̀͡p̵̢͇͍̖̦̲̯͚̯͉̠͖ͬͪ͆̽̉̐̋̎͂ͥ͒̑ͧ̍ͯ́̚ ͊̔̿̔͒͏̴͟͏͇͔̯̻̥͟

Visit a wooden rabbit, a stone pig, and a metal llama

The Fortnite family of giant fake animals just keeps gettin’ bigger and bigger! All you have to do is visit each of the three of the locations marked above to complete this challenge, but keep track of where you’ve already been. While it’s technically possible to visit all three spots in a single round, you may end up having to visit the llama and bunny in one round, and the pig in another. Don’t get mixed up!

Visit the 5 highest elevations on the island

As with the previous challenge, make sure to keep track of where you’ve been and where you’re going! Not only do you have to visit the five specific places marked on the above map, but each of these spots is tremendously elevated, which makes them a lot more time consuming to get to. If you’ve got a lot of building material stockpiled, you can try to go at each spot as the crow flies, but we still don’t think it’s very feasible to knock this challenge out in a single round. Our recommendation is to get the ones in the polar biome in one game, the ones between Snobby Shores and Pleasant Park in the next round, and then finish everything up by visiting the volcano.

Eliminate 3 opponents at Lazy Lagoon or Frosty Flights

Yup, it’s another one of these! As was the case in Week 4, it’s up to you whether you want to try for these kills in Solos, or in Team Rumble. Rumble gives you the benefit of respawns, but there’s no guarantee that anyone will be at either of these locations. Meanwhile, folk in Solos will also be trying to complete this challenge, but you only get one shot at it per round. It’s a real “mom’s spaghetti” situation.

Land at Fatal Fields, etc

Use the above map to keep track of where to land for your first five matches, and you’ll have this done in about 20 minutes. Moving on!

Search where the knife points on the Treasure Map loading screen

You’ll be looking for a spinning Battle Star emblem beween a circle of five trees, directly north-right of the race track in the desert biome. As shown above! Go get ’em, tiger!

Get an elimination with a Flint-Knock Pistol or Boom Bow

This is easily the hardest of this week’s challenges, but Team Rumble should help take the edge off. Spend the entire first circle looting for either (or both!) of these weapons, and then do your darndest to click on some heads. The Flint-Knock is much more common than the Boom Bow, but ammo for the bow will be easier to come by, so just go with whatever you can get your hands on. Love the one you’re with, as they say.

Use 2 different throwable items in a single match

It literally doesn’t even matter which throwable items. Boogie Bomb yourself twice! Who cares! Combine this with the above elimination challenge for an extra-value session of Team Rumble.

Hidden Banner

It’s an even-numbered week, which means that there is a Hidden Banner in play. Once you’ve completed all of this week’s challenges, and all of the challenges leading up to this week, head to the location marked above to receive your Hidden Banner. Remember that the banner does not appear until you’re within a few squares, so don’t dispare if it’s not immediately there.
