Fortnite Refuel a Repair Torch at a Gas Pump Location
As part of the week 8 quests in Chapter 3 Season 2, you’re tasked to refuel a repair torch at a gas pump. Now, you’ve probably stumbled upon dozens of repair torches already, but they have the tendency of not being around when you need them the most. It’s a similar case here.
First, we’re going to need a gas pump, or at least be close enough to one. I recommend landing directly in or around a gas station. I went for the one northeast of Rocky Reels and southeast of Tilted Towers. The problem is that the battle bus is always likely to get close to it, so you’re bound to stumble upon other players. But again, you can just head near the location and look for a repair torch before you head to the station directly.
Now, if you’re wondering where to find repair torch locations in Fortnite to complete this challenge, that’s a tricky question. The repair torch is part of ground loot, so you’re just gonna have to roam inside houses, around streets, and open chests in hopes to hop into one. Honestly, the chances of seeing one out in the wild are high, so it shouldn’t take you too long.
Now, once you have at least one repair torch, it’s time to use it. Press the aim button and just ignite the flame in front of you for a couple of seconds. The number in the bottom right corner of the map is going to decrease as you do so — I had around 150 of charge left by the time I went to refill it, but worst case scenario, just step away from the gas pump, “shoot” again, and finish the quest.
In order to refuel the torch, all you have to do is get close to the gas pump and press the button prompt. No need to actually grab the pump.
That is all for the Fortnite refuel a repair torch objective! It’s a fairly straightforward one, which may only get delayed if it takes you too long to find a repair torch.
