Fortnite Season 7 is well underway and Epic is celebrating the winter holidays with hidden Battle Stars through the Snowfall Challenges section. If you keep up with your weekly challenges, then you’ll be rewarded with a scavenger’s hunt for a hidden Battle Star that will bump up your Battle Pass by a full tier. Particularly diligent players can even unlock a special skin if they complete each week’s challenges.
If you’re just wrapping up your Week 1 Challenges and want to learn more, here’s how the Snowfall Challenges system works and where you can find your first Battle Star from Fortnite Season 7. Just be sure you did complete those challenges. You’ll need to before this next step becomes applicable.

What are Snowfall Challenges and Battle Stars?
Simply put, completing a full set of weekly challenges will fulfill a Snowfall Challenge. As a reward, the game will give you a special loading screen that reveals a hidden Battle Star’s location on Fortnite: Battle Royale’s map. Find the Battle Star’s location on the map to receive a full tier boost to your Battle Pass.
You don’t need to complete weekly challenges in chronological order to keep on unlocking Battle Stars, but if you complete 60 different weekly challenge sets, you’ll unlock a special Season 7 skin only available through Snowfall Challenges. That’s around eight and a half weeks’ worth of weekly challenges in total. You’ll receive a mystery reward for completing all Season 7 weekly challenges, too, so there’s definitely an incentive to keep up each week.
Here’s Week 1’s Battle Star
After completing a week’s worth of challenges, you’ll receive the loading screen below. Pretty neat, right? On top of looking nice, it also shows you where the Battle Star is located on the map. If you look closely, there’s a faint silhouette of a Battle Star right on top of the submarine from Week 1’s Battle Pass dancing challenge.
If you want to grab Week 1’s Battle Star, all you need to do is return to the submarine and pick up the star. Bear in mind that you can’t just run over to the sub before completing a full week’s worth of challenges. As a reminder: Fortnite will only reveal the Battle Star if you’ve finished all seven challenges from a full week. Basically, be sure to eat your vegetables before it’s time for desert.
If you need a refresher, here’s how to find the sub. It’s inside this blue square on the map.
Meanwhile, Fortnite: Battle Royale’s Season 7 Week 2 Challenges are approaching fast. If you want to keep up with your Snowfall Challenges, then you need to complete each week’s set of challenges as fast as possible. Check back later this week (around Thursday, to be precise) for more info on the next round of Battle Stars from the Snowfall Challenges.
Thanks for taking the time to read our guide! We hope it helps you get the most out of your Battle Pass this season.
