Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s Haunting of Verdansk event has officially starts tomorrow! Taking Warzone’s massive map, developer Infinity Ward has flooded it with spooky iconography and other surprises for players to discover. Along with new cosmetic bundles (including The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Saw cosmetic packs), players can earn rewards inside the new Haunted Verdansk game mode. This is done by locating Trick or Treat boxes that are scattered throughout the map. Opening these will give players a special reward such as blueprints, sprays, or a holographic watch. Here’s where you can locate these Trick or Treat Supply Boxes and what to expect from them!
Trick or Treat Supply Box Locations
Before we begin, it should be noted that none of the locations listed are guaranteed to have a Trick or Treat Supply Box. This is a random box that can spawn, so you will need to do some hunting if you want to collect everything they have to offer. Additionally, opening one of these boxes doesn’t guarantee you a prize, as you could be “tricked” instead. You’ll know if it’s a trick, because there will be a visual and audio cue of something horrific in an attempt to scare you. The box is not special looking and it can be any supply box in that area. Additionally, if you get an item from your box the rest of your team will not earn that reward.
Below is a list of every location where the box can spawn.
- Lumber Yard
- Military Base
- Novia Granza Hills (Southeast of Promenade West)
- Storage Town
- TV Station
- The Moving Train
Once you arrive at one of these locations, you’ll need to scour the area for the Trick or Treat Supply Box. It seems that where the boxes spawn in the above areas is random, so you’ll need a bit of luck to locate them. There are 16 unique rewards that you can earn for free via these loot boxes. While they aren’t required to enjoy Haunted Verdansk, obtaining all of them is the only way to unlock the Pumpkin Punisher assault rifle blueprint. These boxes are available in Haunted Verdansk, Zombie Royale, and even Plunder. Personally, I recommend either Haunted Verdansk or Plunder, as these will give you the best chance at locating them. Everyone will be so focused on the other secrets, you might have a chance to slip by players to find these boxes.
Additionally, consider dropping to areas that are far away from the plane’s trajectory. This will let you loot without having to deal with other teams or enemies that dropped. The only tricky one will be the moving train because everyone likes to drop here due to the high tier loot boxes. Your best chance is to find a game where the train is far away from the plane when it initially spawns. While you will still have some people go for the train, the number of squads should be reduced.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s Haunting of Verdansk event runs until November 20th.
