A new update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare dropped and it’s making numerous changes to the Warzone battle royale mode. Along with new weapons in the Gulag and reduced RPG damage, players can hunt down Red Access Cards to open a hidden vault filled with cash and high tier loot. Theses can be perfect for supplying your team with early or even late-game items, since there are also killstreaks inside these vaults. However, getting these cards and making it to the vault is easier said than done, since you’ll need to actually make your way to these tucked away locations for loot.
(Author’s Note: After doing some more testing, it appears that the Red Acces Keycard only opens the bunkers that don’t require you to go down any stairs or ladders. Only ones with the doors that are right in front of you when you arrive seem to open with the card. For all of the eleven bunker locations check out our guide.)
How to Get the Red Access Card
The Red Access Card can drop from any loot box in the game or on the bodies of people who currently possessed it. In my game, I found the keycard in a blue-colored loot box, so it doesn’t just come from orange ones where most of the high tier loot is stored. I imagine your chances are much lower, but it is possible to pull one from any of the crates. This is not an item that is just lying around, so don’t expect to stumble across it out in the open. You will need to open loot boxes if you are hunting for the Red Access Card.
Alternatively, you can just pick the card up from anyone that died while holding it. This item will have a blue glow around it and will spill out of a dead foe along with their weapons, armor, and gear. Obviously, this method has a lot more randomness to it since you’re reliant on someone else finding it first. However, if you prefer to roam around the map and hunt teams, this is a reward you’ll want to keep an eye out for.

How to Use the Red Access Card
Now that you have the Red Access Card what’s in the world do you do with it? Open up a vault filled with treasure, of course. There are several bunkers scattered throughout Warzone’s map, each of which can be opened with a Red Access Card. You can find one on the cliffside across the bridge from Prison, in the forest to the southwest of Boneyard, and southeast of Military Base in the mountains.
Look for massive doors with big yellow bars in front of them and a keypad on the side. Approach the keypad and then use your card to open the door. It’s possible that the keycard you have won’t work with the door in question, so if it doesn’t open you’ll need to try somewhere else. Once inside you will find multiple orange and blue boxes, typically a killstreak, and almost 10 thousand in cash! These also make a nice hiding spot if you want to try and ambush teams picking over your scraps.
