The M13 is the little assault rifle that could. A weapon that has always consistently performed well, is often overlooked by the Call of Duty: Warzone community due to the Grau 5.56 dominating the meta. However, this may change since the Grau was just hit with a rather severe nerf. If you’re scrambling to find a new assault rifle that can still act like a laser beam when you pull the trigger, considering picking up the M13.
Here is the best loadout for the M13 in Call of Duty: Warzone and what attachments you should use.
Why the M13?
Let’s be clear before we start, the M13 is nowhere near as broken as the Grau was pre-nerf. Despite having very controllable recoil, its damage range is not as absurd. That being said, the M13 is still a very reliable assault rifle that is great for distance engagements. This makes it a solid medium to long-range gun, so you will want to complement it with either an SMG or Shotgun. I also like pairing the M13 with the Fennec since this assault rifle isn’t the best at close range. Yet, if you want a relatively easy to use rifle that works wonders in medium-range engagements then consider picking up the M13.

Best M13 Attachments
- Muzzle – Monolithic Suppressor
- Barrel – Tempus Marksman
- Rear Grip – Stippled Grip Tape
- Ammunition – 60 Round Mag
- Underbarrel – Merc Foregrip
- Laser – No Changes
- Perk – No Perk
- Stock – No Changes
- Optic – No Changes
The M13 is a pretty straightforward weapon and will use a lot of the same attachments that our M4A1 build showcases. For the muzzle, we are picking the Monolithic suppressor to increase our range and accuracy, along with keeping us off the radar when we fire. As for the barrel, I’m going with the Tempus Marksman for the boost to Damage Range, Bullet Velocity, Recoil Control. Increasing our range is critical, especially for Warzone where some battles can take place at considerable distances.
Just like literally every other Warzone build, the 60 Round Mag is a non-negotiable attachment. Being able to break someone’s armor and kill them without reloading is key. Since the M13 doesn’t have the fastest time to kill, this 60 Round Mag will ensure that you can take someone down. Along with the magazine, we are slapping on a Merc Foregrip for better recoil control. This will ensure that we can stay on target, even if they are moving or dipping in and out of cover.
Finally, Stippled Grip Tape to help offset the penalty to your ADS (aim down sight) speed. That being said, if you don’t mind a slower ADS, then consider replacing the Rear Grip attachment with an optic. Which one you decide to rock is your choice, but I’ve always been a fan of the Canted Hybrid sights. Having two different types of optics allows you to easily fight opponents in all types of environments.
Even though no gun will (or should) replace the pre-nerf Grau 5.56, the M13 is a fantastic rifle and you should absolutely give it a try.
