Silver is the main currency of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. You’ll need it to purchase items and equipment from various merchants scattered around both England and Norway. It’s a great idea to have plenty of Silver on hand for emergency supplies and anything else that’s thrown your way. Thankfully, there are few solid ways of obtaining the currency which we’ll talk about in this Valhalla guide.
How to Earn Silver Quickly – Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Currency
To get it out of the way, Silver can be purchased using Helix Credits: the microtransaction currency for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. But fear not, if you’d rather not shell out your own money for some Silver, there’s some perfectly quick methods of earning decent amounts of Silver in Valhalla.
If that’s not your thing, however, you should be raiding as your go-to method for acquiring Silver. Right near the beginning of Valhalla, shortly after you’ve established your own Settlement in England, you can undertake Raids into enemy territory. Simply approach the symbol for Raids on the map, represented by two red axes, and use the horn on your item wheel to summon your viking longship. Hop on board, and approach the Raid location to kickstart the combat gauntlet. Because Raids are filled with enemy forces, there’s an increased chance to gain Silver from their corpses, as well as from any containers scattered around the local vicinity.
You can also acquire Silver by using your raven. Pressing up on the d-pad or the corresponding key on PC, you gain a literal birds-eye view of your nearby surroundings, honing in on points of interest within the nearest few hundred meters. What you need to be on the lookout for are gold glowing symbols which denote nearby points of Wealth.
Each territory in Valhalla has a set amount of Wealth to be uncovered. You can view a territory’s wealth by pausing the game and viewing the world map. By hovering over a territory with your cursor, you can see how many instances of Wealth there are for Eivor to uncover. The quickest way to find points of Wealth on the map is to use your raven to pinpoint them.
The Wealth category can include several different items: armor/weapons, books of knowledge, cargo containers, and sometimes even enemies holding rare items like carbon ingots. It’s the enemies that will reward you with a small payout of Silver. More often than not, these cash-infused foes will be located in raid locations, further incentivizing your raiding efforts.
How to Spend Silver – Assassin’s Creed Currency
Silver is used to purchase items from merchants around England. If you look on the map of Valhalla, you can pinpoint merchants from the sack-like icon, most commonly found in towns and cities like Norwic.
At a merchant, you can purchase the following items using Silver:
- Hunter Arrows
- Iron Ore
- Carbon Ingots
- Predator Arrows
- Light Arrows
- Ship Designs
- Fishing Maps
The good news? Silver isn’t used as an upgrade currency! Don’t worry about saving your hard earned Silver for Gunnar in your Settlement to upgrade your weapons and armor. Thankfully there’s a system of several other obtainable items used to upgrade gear instead.
