It should not come as a surprise that Respawn Entertainment plans to add a Battle Pass to its ever popular Apex Legends. Fans of Fortnite, Rocket League, and a ton of other games at this point should be familiar with the concept. While you play throughout the season, you’ll earn experience and rank up your Battle Pass. Along the way you’ll unlock some cool visual rewards. Purchasing the full Battle Pass can unlock a much higher number of cosmetics and get the full experience.

How much does the Apex Legends Battle Pass cost?
Players can purchase the battle pass for 950 Apex Coins. Levelling the pass will be as simple as playing matches — any XP you gain will go towards your level, as usual, but also to your battle pass.
There are a couple of twists here, though. When the season begins, you’ll start making progress on the battle pass whether you’ve purchased it or not. That means you won’t be “wasting” any XP you get if you decide to buy the pass later in the season.
As well, you can purchase a battle pass bundle for 2800 Apex Coins. This package will unlock the next 25 levels of the pass. That means you can either buy at the beginning of the season to jump straight to level 25, or hold off and buy it down the road to unlock the next 25 levels worth of rewards.
How many rewards are in the Battle Pass?
By levelling the battle pass, you’ll earn a range of cosmetics for your Legends and weapons. There are 100 levels to the pass, and you’ll get increasingly rare rewards as you climb the ranks. At level 100, you’ll unlock a new skin for the Havoc rifle.
Even if you don’t have the time or energy to finish the pass, there are plenty of good rewards in the lower levels. And buying the pass alone will unlock three new skins for Lifeline, Mirage, and Wraith.
Respawn has a full list of the rewards, though they don’t show details about items like voice clips. We also don’t know what the different-looking Apex Packs at the higher levels mean, but they’re likely to be loot boxes containing different or rarer items than the usual Apex Packs.
Also, you don’t have to purchase the battle pass to unlock new content. You can unlock one unique skin, five Apex Packs, and 18 stat trackers just by playing the game during season one.
It’s worth noting that Battle Pass items will never appear in the rotating shop.
When does the season start?
The first battle pass drops Tuesday, March 19, coinciding with the beginning of the first season of Apex Legends and the addition of new Legend Octane. Respawn has dubbed this first season “Wild Frontier.”
When does the season end?
There’s no hard date set just yet. However, we do know that each season runs approximately three months. It’s safe to say that the season will end sometime in June.
Will there ever be Legends in the Battle Pass?
No! The Battle Pass will only ever include cosmetics that do not have an impact on actual gameplay.
