Apex Legends Raiders Guide – How to Earn Points During the Event

Another Apex Legends season means another collection event for players to spend reckless amounts of money on. Dubbed “Raiders,” this event is themed around pirates and marks the return of the fan-favorite Winter Express game mode. Along with a bunch of new cosmetics, the Raiders event introduces Wattson’s heirloom weapon which is a Wal-Mart price checker Energy Reader! But for those who don’t want to spend a dime, there are some cosmetic items you can unlock for free via the Raiders event rewards path. However, you will need to earn points, which allow you to unlock different cosmetics during the duration of the event.

How to Get Raiders Event Points

You can earn points during the Raiders event by completing the Daily Challenges found in the Challenge Menu. These will update every day with new tasks for you to complete and they are, mostly, pretty simple. This can include getting into the Top 10 four times, dealing damage, or just playing the game itself. Some of these challenges will also be tied to the Winter Express game mode. In this mode, three teams of three will fight for control of a moving train to try and capture zones. It’s a chaotic, fun experience and easily one of the best limited-time event modes in the entire game.

Every challenge you complete will earn you 200 Points, for a total of 600 Points per day if you finish every challenge offered. However, the damage point challenge has different levels, so it is possible to squeak out some extra Points early on. If you complete every challenge, including the additional ones, you can obtain 1,600 Points a day. To earn everything, you’ll need a maximum of 5,000 Points — meaning you’ll need to finish 25 of these challenges (not including the additional damage ones) to earn everything this season.

Keep in mind, you cannot earn points by getting kills, winning games, or completing battle pass challenges. The only way to earn points is by finishing the Raiders challenges, so make sure to prioritize these every day when you log on. Other cosmetics in the store, including Wattson’s heirloom, cannot be obtained without spending real money. So unless you have some cash to burn, these are the only items you can earn for free.

Along with the event, there are some minor balance changes coming to some gameplay elements. The first is Seer, whose Tactical Ability, Focus of Attention gets its activation time reduced from 1.6 seconds to 1.4. Arc Stars will also now deal 10 damage when they stick to an opponent instead of 30, but will deal additional shield damage. You’ll also become slowed when stuck, which is a change being reverted from the previous season. Rampart’s fully crafted weapons will no longer have additional ammo in their magazines, but the crafting material price will not be adjusted. Finally, players will be able to adjust their reticle color, which has been a long-requested feature.

The Raiders Collection Event is currently live on all platforms until December 21st.
