Apex Legends Mosters Within Guide – How to Earn Points During the Event

It’s the spookiest time of the year, which means it’s time for another Halloween-themed event for Apex Legends. Dubbed “Monsters Within,” players will be able to once again play the Shadow Royale game mode, along with unlocking a bunch of free cosmetics during this event’s three-week runtime. So if you don’t want to spend any money, but would still like some scary items for your legends here’s how to earn points for the rewards tracker.

How to Get Monsters Within Event Points

You can earn points during the Monsters Within event by completing the Daily Challenges found in the Challenge Menu. These will update daily with new tasks for you to complete and they are, mostly, pretty simple. This can include winning rounds, dealing damage, or just playing the game itself. Every challenge you complete will earn you 200 Points, for a total of 1,000 Points per day if you finish every challenge offered. To earn everything you’ll need a maximum of 3,000 Points, per weekly tracker. Once the week is up, all your progress and the rewards will change, so make sure to play when there’s a certain skin you want!

All rewards can be seen in the chart below:

Keep in mind, you cannot earn points by getting kills, winning games, or completing battle pass challenges. The only way to earn points is by finishing the Monsters Within challenges, so make sure to prioritize these every day when you log on. Since there are three rewards tracks, you’ll need a total of 9,000 points if you want to obtain everything that doesn’t require real-world money.

Unlike previous events, the Monsters Within event has come under fire from fans due to its paid rewards. Previously, events that didn’t offer an heirloom allowed players to buy every cosmetic in bundles via the store. Respawn has changed this, forcing players to purchase Monsters Within Apex Packs, which will randomly offer a piece of gear from the event. This means, if you want that awesome vampire Seer outfit, you’ll need to keep buying Apex Event Packs until it drops.

The kicker is there is no heirloom for players to acquire, but the price to earn everything during the event is still around $160. Since there’s no guarantee for which item you’ll obtain in these Apex Event Packs, be prepared to spend a decent amount of money to unlock everything you want. However, if you can spend Crafting Metals to earn the exact item you want. But this assumes you have been stockpiling Crafting Metals, which is something a lot of players don’t do. Along with all the new cosmetics, a bunch of returning cosmetics will be rotating in the store throughout the event’s duration.

As for the game mode, a new Arena’s map is getting introduced along with the Shadow Royale game mode. The former is set on Seer’s homeworld of Boreas and is a massive concert stage. For battle royale players, Shadow Royale returns and tasks players with being the last team standing. The catch is when your teammates die they will return as Shadows who endlessly revive until the last living member of their team goes down. Be prepared for a lot of chaos when this event is live, as Shadow Royale is quite a frantic, kinetic game mode.

The Monsters Within event is live on all platforms and ends on November 2nd.
