Apex Legends Holo-Day Bash Guide – How to Earn Points

A new holiday event for Apex Legends has officially arrived, so grab your Spitfire, throw on your winter coat, and grab some candy canes because the Holo-Day Bash is here. Returning from last year, this event embraces the Christmas spirit by tasking players with battling it out in the Winter Express game mode. Similar to other events, users can earn exclusive holiday-themed skins, charms, and cosmetic items. While some of these items have to be purchased with Apex Coins, others are earned via points for completing various in-game challenges.

Here’s how to obtain the Holo-Day Bash rewards in Apex Legends:

How to get Holo-Day Bash Points

You can earn points during the Holo-Day Bash by completing the Daily Challenges found in the Challenge Menu. These will update every day with new tasks for you to complete and they are, mostly, pretty simple. This can include getting into the Top 10 four times, getting damage in the Winter Express mode, or just playing the game itself. Every challenge you complete will earn you 200 Points, for a total of 600 Points per day if you finish every challenge offered. To earn everything you’ll need a maximum of 4,000 Challenges, meaning you’ll need to finish 20 of these challenges to earn everything this season.

Here is a complete list of every reward you can earn for free:

  • Holo-Day Bash 2020 Badge – 250 Points
  • Mirage Kills Tracker – 500 Points
  • 10% XP Boost – 750 Points
  • Frostwolf Gun Charm – 1,000 Points
  • 10% XP Boost – 1,500 Points
  • Solstice Bloodhound Skin – 2,000 Points
  • Mirage Wins Tracker – 2,500 Points
  • 10% XP Boost – 3,000 Points
  • Mirage Damage Done Tracker – 3,500 Points
  • Absolute Zero Horizon Skin – 4,000 Points

Keep in mind, you cannot earn points by getting kills, winning games, or completing battle pass challenges. The only way to earn points is by finishing the Holo-Day Bash challenges, so make sure to prioritize these every day when you log on. This event runs until January 1st, so you have a lot of time to actually unlock all these cosmetics. Additionally, there will be a rating collection of items you can purchase with Apex Coins in the main Store. These range from character skins to charms to weapon skins. Prices vary, but typically the winter bundles are between 500-2,500 Apex Coins. This is a little over $20, but you’ll need to purchase the $10 and $20 Apex Coin packs to have enough for an outfit that costs 2,500.

More Apex Legends:

For the unfamiliar, Winter Express pits three squads against one another for control of a moving train. Teams will spawn on a Supply Ship before they jump off onto the moving locomotive below. Your task is to hold the train and complete objectives before the round is over. This creates a more intimate, chaotic experience that will test your ability to fight in more confined spaces. Expect defense heroes like Caustic, Wattson, Rampart, and Gibraltar to be especially effective when trying to lock down this vehicle.
