Two days before it was meant to launch on iOS and Android devices, Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony’s mobile port has been delayed indefinitely.
News of this came from developer Spike Chunsoft’s social channels, which said the studio found a bug during its final round of testing. As such, the murder mystery visual novel won’t be launching on May 26 as originally planned. The company hasn’t confirmed a new release date.
We regret to announce that the May 26th release of Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony Anniversary Edition has been delayed.

Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony is the third game in the series headed to mobile devices after the launch of Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc and Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair last year. All three games were set to launch on phones and tablets last year as part of the series’ 10th anniversary, but V3 missed the window.

At any rate, if you’ve been playing the series for the first time on mobile devices, you might have missed out on some crucial pieces to the series’ story because they’re not available on the platform. Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls is a puzzle shooter spin-off available on PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita that takes place between the first two games. And all of this is wrapped up in the anime Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope’s Peak High School. While that show completes the series’ original story, Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony is set in a different continuity but isn’t entirely divorced from the trilogy’s story. It might sound complicated, but it’s all pretty straightforward when it’s laid out like it’s supposed to be. Rather than divided between three companies that have yet to market the series in a way that doesn’t make all these things seem so separated.
