PUBG Mobile Season 12 Week 1 Challenges – Tips and Tricks

Let's get this party started!

PUBG Mobile Season 12 falls perfectly between the game’s second anniversary. That means some of the coolest rewards yet – assuming you’re into the whole bright and colorful neon celebration theme Tencent has going on. As is the case with the start of each season, two weeks’ worth of Royale Pass missions are up at once, so we’re back on the guide train. Here’s are a few tips and tricks for PUBG Mobile Season 12 week 1.

Choice Mission

  1. Land on any rooftop in Pochinki (Erangel) 3 times in Classic mode
    • With a single road cutting right through it, Pochinki is a dangerous location to drop. It’s very popular. You should be able to land easy enough, but there’s a chance that getting killed too soon after will invalidate the mission. Be sure you can survive the onslaught.
  2. Land on any rooftop in Los Leones (Miramar) 3 times in Classic mode
    • Los Leones has a metric ton of rooftops to land on, but they’re all pretty small and scattered about. If you’re not too great with parachute handling, this might not be a good pick.
  3. Land on any rooftop in Quarry (Sanhok) 3 times in Classic mode
    • Quarry features plenty of large rooftops, but they’re scattered all around the outer edge of the area. This makes them easy to aim for and spreads enemies out of range of each other. It’s a good pick, but there’s little room for error.

Kill 2 enemies while driving in Classic Mode

Getting vehicle kills can be hard. Players can easily sidestep a vehicle, leaving the passenger little more than a sitting duck. The secret to vehicle kills is confidence. You need to surprise the enemy. Charge at distant enemies and commit to the spot. Don’t try to anticipate their movement. Just assume they don’t know you’re there and aim straight for them.

Finish in the Top 3 with friends 2 times in Classic mode

You’ll need skilled “friends” to pull this off — not those random squadmates who don’t realize the only thing the rest of the team can hear is their loud television and screaming children. Pair up with high-ranking clan mates, find a few friends on the PUBG Mobile Discord, or offer to queue up with whichever randoms play well and eliminate those who don’t. The process of elimination works here.

Then, just make sure to stick with your team. Don’t be a lone wolf. Pass on excess gear and guns to ensure your squad is ready to fight, and think about flanking an enemy team if your mates can hold the front lines.

Revive teammates 5 times in Classic mode

If you’re making it to top 3 in a squad to clear the above mission, you’ll likely clear this without much thought. It’s rare for a squad to make it to top 3 without a few casualties, so there should always be one or two players you can use to clear this one over time. Remember: it doesn’t need to be in a single match. Just help your squad out as normal and you’ll manage this.

Kill 7 enemies with Shotguns in Erangel in Classic mode

Shotguns are primarily close-range weapons. They’re great for use in short corridors and small houses. Erangel, as big as it is, has plenty of use cases here. Whenever you’re in a town, duck and weave through the houses with a shotgun to your chest, and you’ll automatically have the upper hand in any confrontation around you. Pump-action shotguns are strong, but they require an accurate hand. Go semi-auto if possible.

Complete 14 matches in Arena

Arena matches are my personal favorite. They’re quick, easy, and offer a great excuse to take a break from the lengthy and stressful battle royale scene. You’ll find arena modes in the Arena tab, with each consisting of a point-based mode with respawns enabled. You can chek out our guides on Domination, Assualt, and Team Deathmatch here, but the most important thing is to have a bit of fun.

PUBG Mobile Season 12 Week 1 Elite Royale Pass Missions

Choice Mission

  1. Deal a total of 3600 damage in Classic mode
    1. Instead of specifically aiming for this one, just let it come over time. You can’t exactly get minus damage now, can you? At a push, it’s possible vehicle damage will count, too, so be sure to shoot up a couple of cars and check your progress after the fact.
  2. Deal 7500 damage in Arena
    • Just like the previous mission, 7500 damage is a lot — and you won’t have the option to fill a Ford with lead, either. Instead, respawns work in your favor. It isn’t rare to get 15+ kills in a single Arena match, so that’s roughly 1500 damage there. Unless you’re pretty bad, you’ll clear this one while playing the 14 arena matches for the standard royale pass mission.
  3. Deal 400 damage in Payload
    • Now this one seems shockingly low. Maybe it’s Tencent’s way to encourage us to queue for Payload? With how you can clear the other two passively, I’d only recommend this one to players in a rush, who like Payload, or who haven’t given it a shot yet.

Kill an enemy from 200 meters away 1 time in Classic mode

This is all about the sniper rifle and you know it. 200 meters is generally from one side of a town to the other. Most sniper rifles can pull off this feat, but you can manage it with an assault rifle with a 6x scope, too. It won’t be as quick — and will take more shots — but it’s doable. I’m just saying you don’t absolutely need a sniper rifle to do it.

Pick up Smoke Grenade over 20 matches in Classic mode

Smoke grenades are everywhere. And I mean everywhere. Often ignored by the lesser skilled, they’re a lifeline pros have used many times to win a major match. Just pick one up. You don’t have to use it. Hell, you can drop it right after if you’re really that stubborn. It’s an easy clear.

Travel for a total of 20000 meters while driving a vehicle in Classic mode

If you follow the path all around the coast of Erangel, you’ll manage 20000 meters in one go. That’s a rough guideline of what this mission is asking for. Again, it’ll happen naturally as you play, but if you want to get this done fast, just go on a nice leisurely road trip and watch out for the circle.
