Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath has arrived and it’s bringing with it some lovely, kind-hearted ways to end a brutal match. Dubbed “Friendships,” these alternate fatalities see players performing fun, entertaining performances for their opponent rather than maiming or disemboweling them. Every character in the game has a Friendship finisher that can be used once the “Finish Him” title appears.
Keep in mind, if you are in Ranked you cannot block during the second round. If you do, then you’ll be unable to perform a Friendship at the end of the match. Additionally, we will be using the common shorthand that most fighting games use when discussing button inputs. Outside of directional movement, all other face buttons will be referred to as 1, 2, 3, or 4. Please see the list below if you are unfamiliar with what each number is tied to:
- 1 – X (Xbox One) / Square (PS4) / Y (Switch)
- 2 – Y (Xbox One) / Triangle (PS4) / X (Switch)
- 3 – A (Xbox One) / X (PS4) / B (Switch)
- 4 – B (Xbox One) / Circle (PS4) / A (Switch)

So far, all of these are done at Mid Range, so stand a few feet away from your opponent before performing a Friendship. These can be performed in any matches outside of the main story, mainly because there isn’t a Fatality moment during these levels. We are inputting these under the assumption that you are on the left side of the screen. The inputs will slightly change if you’re on the right side. Thankfully, Friendships are all unlocked from the start, so you are free to use them whenever you want. There’s no grinding or additional work needed to be kind to your opponent!
