The next horrifying installment of the Resident Evil series has finally arrived. Continuing the story of Ethan Winters following the events of Resident Evil 7, Resident Evil Village sees our titular hero venture into a mysterious eastern European town to save his kidnapped baby. Throughout your journey, Ethan will encounter all sorts of horrific monsters, eccentric characters, puzzles, and familiar faces. Pulling inspiration from previous entries, Resident Evil Village mixes both horror and action. But sometimes you just want to kick back, relax, and absolutely devastate your foes with an infinite ammo grenade launcher. Just like other games in this franchise, you can unlock infinite ammo weapons.
How to Get Infinite Ammo
To even unlock the ability to get infinite ammo weapons you need to beat Resident Evil Village’s campaign at least once. After you beat the game, you will unlock the Extra Content Shop in the Bonus menu. From here, you can spend any Challenge Points (CP) you have earned on various rewards like 3D models, art, unique weapons, and infinite ammo for specific guns. However, you won’t have access to infinite ammo right away, as you need to fully upgrade that gun first before the option to purchase infinite ammo is available.
For example, if you want unlimited bullets for the M1911 pistol, you’ll need to purchase every upgrade and obtain every attachment for it. Thankfully, this doesn’t need to be in a single playthrough. Since your weapon progress carries over in New Game Plus, you can pick up where you left off at the very beginning of Resident Evil Village. Unless you find every treasure, you will need to go through the game twice to fully upgrade most of your favorite guns. Once a weapon is completely upgraded, save your game and go back to the Main Menu. Hit “Bonuses” and then Extra Content Shop. Now scroll through the list until you find the weapon you want infinite ammo for.
Next to the weapon you should see a CP price. If it’s red that means you currently do not have enough to purchase this feature. Challenge Points are earned by, well, completing challenges! These can be done in either Mercenaries, a fresh game, or New Game Plus. There is no limit to how many infinite weapons you can own, so feel free to purchase your favorite ones without fear.
For those unsure of which weapons to get, I recommend getting a workhorse gun and one for dealing with boss-tier enemies. That’s why my first two infinite ammo weapons were M1911 and the magnum. Both are superb for dealing with enemies, with the latter being especially dangerous when you have unlimited rounds. Another good weapon to get infinite ammo for is the SYG shotgun and Dragoon assault rifle. If you don’t feel like having an overwhelming advantage against your enemies, just go to Gameplay in the Setting menu and disable this feature.
Keep in mind, if you do turn off infinite ammo you will want to have some extra bullets in your inventory!
