How to Enable the Auto Jump in PUBG Mobile

It's probably not what you think, but it may be what you want

After a few years on the market, PUBG Mobile is still adding a bunch of must-have features you’d think were already there — but actually aren’t. For PUBG Mobile Patch 1.8, one of those new features is the auto jump function. It may sound like a shortcut to being labeled as a serial bunny-hopping noob who probably got heckled for hugging the attached M203 grenade launcher on Call of Duty 4’s M16A4 assault rifle a little too closely, but the setting is there for a reason. And it’s high time you knew how to enable it. As was the case with the Death Replay feature — incredibly useful for combating the game’s rampant hacking when it launched last year — you need to manually opt-in for the new PUBG Mobile auto jump feature before you see it in-game.

How to enable and use Auto Jump in PUBG Mobile.

How to Enable Auto Jump in PUBG Mobile

You can enable auto jump in PUBG Mobile as soon as you download the big 1.8 update. There’s no unlock procedure barring your way, either, so don’t worry if you’re looking for it to improve your game. You don’t need to hit some massively high account level before you’re allowed to toggle it on.

To enable auto jump in PUBG Mobile, before you head into a match, tap the up-facing arrow in the bottom-right corner of the main screen. From there, just tap into Settings and then mosey on over to the Controls tab along the right-hand side. Once you’re on there, you’re going to want to look out for new page — the Advanced Controls tab along the top row. The update was supposed to streamline the game’s many menus and tabs, but it looks like the cluttered Controls menu wasn’t part of that plan.

Once you’ve found it, you should see auto jump stuffed in as the fourth toggle on the left-hand column of settings. You may need to scroll to see it depending on your device, but for most, it’ll be the penultimate option on the left-hand side. Toggle that on and you’re good to go.

What Is the PUBG Mobile Auto Jump Setting?

Despite how it sounds, the PUBG Mobile auto jump feature doesn’t do what you probably expect it to. It’s not a way to automatically hop around your opponent in a frantic firefight, throwing off their aim and increasing your chances of success. Instead, its poor wording makes sense given the context of the game.

The PUBG Mobile auto jump feature drops a tiny button on the screen during the flyover and landing section at the beginning of each match. When you’re in the plane getting ready to drop to your target location, tapping the auto jump button will launch you out and toward the spot you mark on the map. Make sure to enable that by tapping the toggle just to the right of the PUBG Mobile auto jump setting. It doesn’t matter how unrealistic your landing goal is: the PUBG Mobile auto jump feature will track the plane’s path and work out the best time to jump and how to angle you to get as close to the market as possible. It is magic? No. It is math magic, though. Clever code. Stay in school, kids.
