What is Invasion?

Invasion is a 12-player game type with teams of six, one of Spartans and one of Elites. There are only three supported maps with varying objectives. In short, one team invades and the other defends. As the match progresses, more loadouts, weapons, and vehicles are unlocked.

Here are the supported maps and their descriptions:

  • Boneyard – Spartans start out defending two generators, before moving onto a second phase with two points, and then a third phase where the Elites need to steal a data core. The map can feature teams with eight or sixteen players.
  • Breakpoint – Spartans defend two points, and if the Elites take them, they then move on to plant a bomb in the Spartan’s base. The final phase sees Elites taking a core to their own extraction point.
  • Spire – The only map where the Elites defend, with Spartan’s assaulting two points in the first phase, then do it again in the second phase. In the third phase the Spartan’s need to capture a data core and bring it to a Pelican on the beach.
